"On Monday, April 16, 2012, at noon, on Capitol Hill, in Washington, D.C., there was a rally/march demanding the federal government close the "School of the Americas," renamed the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation. Twelve Anti-torture activists were arrested, in the street, opposite the Cannon Office Building while engaging in "nonviolent direct action." This was around 2:15 PM, press time for this reporter.
