Growing Number of Doctors Say They Won’t Get COVID-19 Booster Shots
● An increasing number of doctors report that they will not receive COVID-19 vaccine boosters due to a lack of clinical trial evidence.
● Despite the lack of human data, emergency use authorization was granted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to updated boosters, or bivalent shots, from Moderna and Pfizer in August 2022.
● In the months following the authorization, no clinical trial data has been made available for the bivalents.
