Museums Closed, Taxis Aren’t Running: Strike Grips Barcelona After Referendum

A general strike, announced on Tuesday in Catalonia, has affected tourists’ plans, getting a taxi to the airport became impossible, most of the streets in the center of Barcelona are blocked, popular tourist sights are closed. Public transport is almost completely on strike, the underground trains do not run.
