Deaths are continuing to reach extraordinarily high numbers and have now soared to 26 percent higher than pre-pandemic levels, new data has revealed. | A new study by U.K. researchers reveals that deaths have been soaring in England and Wales during January 2023. In the week ending January 13, there were 17,381 deaths in England and Wales alone. The figure is 2,837 or 19.5% above the five-year average. ● However, the five-year average is already higher than normal due to the early 2021 Covid wave. Compared to the pre-pandemic five-year average of 13,822, deaths are now 3,559 or 25.7% above average. There were 922 deaths with Covid registered on the death certificate, of which 654 were registered as due to Covid as the underlying cause. This leaves 2,183 excess deaths from a different underlying cause. Since the wave of excess non-Covid deaths began in April the total now stands at 34,691.

The video clips released by the city include three police body cams and an overhead angle from a pole-based police camera, city officials have said. Overall, taxpayers are sending 80,291 weapon systems, vehicles, boats, and radars to Ukraine, including the 31 Abrams tanks. But it is likely far more since neither the State Department nor a Congressional Research Service tally of systems sent to Ukraine fully accounts for all headed overseas. For example, photos have been taken of U.S.-supplied M777 Howitzers being used in Ukraine, but they are not on the latest list of U.S. transfers.

The federal government, working hand-in-hand with universities, private companies and Big Tech, is funneling millions of dollars in taxpayer money to fund an AI censorship program to be used on American citizens | The government's campaign to fight "misinformation" has expanded to adapt military-grade artificial intelligence once used to silence the Islamic State (ISIS) to quickly identify and censor American dissent on issues like vaccine safety and election integrity, according to grant documents and cyber experts. The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded several million dollars in grants recently to universities and private firms to develop tools eerily similar to those developed in 2011 by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in its Social Media in Strategic Communication (SMISC) program. Retailers who cash in on community fears about SARS by exaggerating the health benefits of surgical masks could face fines of up to $110,000.
NSW Fair Trading Minister Reba Meagher yesterday warned that distributors and traders could be prosecuted if it was suggested the masks offered unrealistic levels of protection from the disease. …
Health authorities have warned that surgical masks may not be an effective protection against the virus.
“Those masks are only effective so long as they are dry,” said Professor Yvonne Cossart of the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of Sydney.
“As soon as they become saturated with the moisture in your breath they stop doing their job and pass on the droplets.”
Professor Cossart said that could take as little as 15 or 20 minutes, after which the mask would need to be changed. But those warnings haven’t stopped people snapping up the masks, with retailers reporting they are having trouble keeping up with demand.
