College Protests Against Israeli Apartheid and Genocide Were Not Just Legal, They Were the Morally Responsible Thing to Do

Once again, a Medusa-like monstrosity, namely the U.S. Congressional Committee on Education and the Workforce, has reared its snaky-hair of a harpy head, in America’s social sanctuary, or once-regarded chambers of truthful examination—indicative of the lost soul of the great American Revolution (at least in storyline).
Whereas nowadays, these same hearing rooms are at best a farce, or closer to worst as an act of treason against its own society, controlled by a foreign entity known as the rogue and roughshod Zionist state of Israel.
Moreover, these hearings, although less hysterical than of last year, but still composed of self-righteous rants, and still alleging rampant antisemitism across America, are again amounting to camouflaged lies meant to cover up the fact that the United States Government, is, itself, indisputably complicit in Israeli actions of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza, and equally against other Palestinians and non-Jewish peoples across the area including in the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, etc.
And again, these hearings are mostly theatrical performances known commonly as “show trials.” See Wikipedia:

Yes, it is very much meant as a sideshow red herring, to distract people from the real issues and real violations. But also, it goes further in attempting to outlaw and intimidate those who dare tell the truth. It is straight-out political repression.

As I recorded in a previous segment of this series of articles on the destruction of free speech on American Campuses, the United States literally has ‘thousands’ of campuses across the entire country—so theoretically they should be able to find hundreds of relatively serious incidents, or at least several dozen, which are documented with compelling evidence, that is if real levels of antisemitism were even one fraction as what these AIPAC /ADL grifters want to suggest.
Instead, we get some non-mainstream news reports that suggest otherwise. Here then is one gem of a nugget regarding how supposedly serious is antisemitism in America today from the website of Inside Higher Ed:

All this horse-drit, public relations circus show in the U.S Congress to cover up the obvious reality that over 100,000 thousand Palestinians are dead, multifold more wounded and suffering, after being bombed to death with real American bombs and creating real blood splattered nightmares across the Gazan countryside, and our U.S. Congress is crying about a few metaphoric cases of bloody doughnuts—as indicative of overwhelming antisemitism across a nation of 50 states? For real?
Can you say surrealist mordant causticity? Medusa what chemicals are you ingesting?
Again, these witch trials present little to no actual hard evidence to various and nebulous “allegations” regarding antisemitism. Again, much of this sleight of hand magic is centered on distorting the terminology of words like hatred and terrorist.
Surely real people could have demanded “no blood doughnuts” from a Jewish bakery, but even this choice of words sounds a bit concocted, as in embellished into the complaint, as an allusion to blood libels, the usual reflexive defense (as in we Jews are just innocent victims). Blood libel or pogroms or holocaust regarding allegations of Jews killed and harmed though-out European history (a history mind you pretty much solely written by Jewish authors).
Where is there any evidence of real violence against Jews here in America these last months? There is none. This is all a monumental lie meant to kill humanitarian protestations against real genocidal evil in the Levant that the United States Congress is in complicity!!
And it is working—especially in conjunctions with the illegal activities of the State Department, DOJ, DHS, and ICE.

Then she presents a short video triptych from the three campuses which does not depict any violence, only large passionate crowds shouting, and apparently the supposedly terribly terrorist words “antifada revolution” both shouted and depicted on a sign, as one guesses supposed proof positive of the immense threats Jews were facing across America. Talk about lame. Talk about amateurish. Talk about a fabricated show trial. And this is only a few minutes into a four-hour long hearing, as torture to watch within itself, and all manner of self-righteousness, distorted puff-puppetry, and Israeli flag-waving. The term ‘anti-Semitism’ seems to come up practically more than any other word save your common articles, prepositions, and other grammarly necessities. No narrow-minded focus here in the nation’s capital? Nothing was said about the brutal and real violence in Gaza, or the blatant acts of hatred acted out by IDF forces that could be found all over the Internet. No, this was about Jews and their subjectively construed emotions and attitudes, with an occasional half-spirited acknowledgement of possible examples of animosity that ‘might’ have been directed against Muslims, Palestinians and Jews who were substantially represented as fighting the illegality of the Israeli and American state. The word ‘hypocrisy’ does not do this parody justice. |

Clearly last years show trials had more punch and more interesting talking points.
But the third takeaway is particularly important, so quoting from this article is essential:

“Cole noted that hate speech is protected speech.”
““The line between protected speech that is antisemitic and discrimination that is antisemitic is a hard line to draw, but it’s a line that our Constitution compels us to draw,” Cole said.”
“He added, “It’s not a line that I’ve heard a single Republican care about on this committee.””
“To draw that line, Congress needed to engage in a fact-finding mission and “determine what actually happened based on often-competing accounts, and then you make a determination based upon those facts,” he said. Instead, the committee has seized upon various complaints, which they have not investigated, and then brought in college presidents to “berate them based on the committee’s version of the facts, which may or may not be true,” Cole said.”

WOW! This equivalent of an important professional organ like Inside Higher Ed is focusing on these important points about free speech and real investigations into real incidents of harm? Something does seem amiss—it is not just me calling out this sham.
David Cole is a famous lawyer and talking head expert, nevertheless I literally had to go to TikTok to watch this video of the hearing because my search engine (Bing) was not producing it (yet listen to the important legal points he makes):

This is bombshell news and like so many important things Americans should know about these legal matters, still it seems to be ignored by both the MSM and much of the alternative media.
And then on the 4th takeaway we get:

And so now we need to focus on this second front of their war on free speech—the White House’s sledgehammer.
Regardless, the spell has been cast and dice have been thrown, and horrific and blatant genocide continues, with the next phase proceeding along with the more silent curse of mass starvation.
Concurrently, thousands of foreign students have been successfully intimidated. Equally so for University Administrations.
Last year especially college students, by the thousands, had been roughed up and arrested. This last week the same thing at Columbia University when the Butler Library was overtaken.
College administrators cannot claim the moral high ground when they make it impossible for students to protest, and who do not honor fair proceedings and negotiations. To this day much of Columbia’s investments portfolio is still mostly secret?!
None of these facts matters to those in charge, and especially in the Trump Cabinet. Trump’s people are at war with the world trying to undo the illegalities of the previous democratic party, now using their own illegal means to do so. It’s a dog-eat-dog kind of world.

Thus, some of her defiant attitudes make sense in this miasmic swamp of Washington D.C.
Still to watch her testimony, her hardened and preconceived notions, such as she can operate in a lawless and careless state of repression, is beyond chilling given the stature of her position. This is truly unbelievable.

Trump’s cabinet members and media mouthpieces are doubling down on defying the Supreme Court rulings, coming up with all manner of excuses about Abrego Garcia being a bad person. Abstracting alphanumeric meanings from pictorial tattoos are at best hypothetical. Whether he beat up his spouse does not justify throwing someone in prison for life. And even if he is suspected of transporting migrants from one state to another is not the equivalent of due process.

Overall, the important takeaway is that youthful college students cannot lose faith, nor can the world in general. This is a fight worth making for the long haul. This is a fight that must be won by the good guys.
For example, it may be necessary for more people and more protest groups to take their displeasures to Congress directly. Why should mostly right-wing pro-Zionist groups have such access?
Equally older people need to get involved. Why was not more college professors and all manner of professionals not on the streets protesting the evil of Israel’s government (including university administrators)?
We can change tactics and strategies and we will.
Those American campuses like Columbia, who have capitulated have not won.
Look at what pretense of respectability is the current acting President of Columbia University, Claire Shipman, and her response to the latest rebellion at that college (professional media choreography):

Talk about a sham running a college.
Nevertheless, Columbia students felt compelled on moral grounds to act out against the evil this civilization represents in supporting genocide and starvation. They took over Butler Library. They defied an unfair situation. Look at all the lies and intimidation these people have been dealing. Unfortunately, probably not too much to good ends. Regardless their hearts were and still are in the right place and they sent a strong signal they have not given up.
But the school year is winding down while the silent war of starvation is gaining an enormity of strength.
Nevertheless, protesting immorality is far from over.
