The CIA represents America’s dark side, an agency incompatible with peace, equity and justice - neocon Pompeo the latest in a long line of rogue directors.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, he hyped a nonexistent North Korea threat, a nation that hasn’t preemptively attacked another country throughout its entire post-WW II history.

It threatens none now, not its neighbors or America - despite fear-mongering claims otherwise by Trump, other administration officials, congressional members, media scoundrels and Pompeo, part of his mandate as CIA head, along with directing all its other dirty tricks, aimed at advancing America’s imperium at the expense of world peace and stability.

Pompeo: “…America is no longer going to have the strategic patience…that has permitted (Kim Jong-un) to continue to develop his weapons program.”

Asked how worried people should be, he said “(t)here’s nothing imminent today. But make no mistake about it, the continuation, the increased chance that there will be a nuclear missile in Denver is a very serious threat and the administration is going to treat as such.”

Fact: Decades of DPRK outreach for rapprochement with the West, a peace treaty formally ending the 1950s war, and normalized relations henceforth were rebuffed by Washington.

Fact: Instead, unacceptable US threats and bullying followed brief periods of relative calm - more serious now than any time since 1950, risking unthinkable nuclear war on the Korean peninsula.

Fact: Resolving contentious issues is as simple as engaging in diplomacy with Pyongyang, a notion the Trump administration rejects, choosing hostility, risking war if things get out of hand.

Pompeo: “…I’ve heard folks talking about that we being on the cusp of a nuclear war. I’ve seen no intelligence that would indicate that we’re in that place today.”

Let’s hope he’s right and nothing changes.

Shifting to Venezuela, Pompeo lied claiming “Maduro continu(es) to assert more power, inflict(ing) more pain on the people of Venezuela…”

As CIA director, he orchestrated months of street violence. He and other rogue agency operatives bear full responsibility for what’s ongoing, along with other administration officials and Trump.

As president, he could stop it. He could extend responsible outreach to Venezuela, halt US meddling in its affairs, cease trying to topple its government.

Pompeo: “…I believe the president (by his comments) was trying…to give the Venezuelan people hope and opportunity to create a situation where democracy can be restored in Venezuela.”

Fact: America’s notion of democracy is fascist tyranny, calling it “democracy,” the way Washington runs things, serving privileged interests exclusively.

Fact: Venezuela is targeted for its sovereign independence and real social democracy, including sharing the nation’s oil wealth with its people by providing essential social services, polar opposite how America is run - thirdworldized, belligerent, and ruthless.

Asked if military intervention is planned, Pompeo lied calling Venezuela a risk to the US, saying:

“The Cubans are there. The Russians are there. The Iranians, Hezbollah are there. This is… something that has a risk of getting to a very, very bad place. And so, America needs to take this very seriously.”

Venezuela fosters cooperative relations with all nations, threatening none. America seeks unchallenged global dominance, threatening everyone.
