Russia a Threat to US Imperial Interests

August 31st, 2016

Had Putin not intervened responsibly against US-supported terrorists in Syria, all might have been lost, Iran awaiting the next onslaught.

Committed to defeating terrorism in Syria to prevent its spread to Russia’s heartland, Putin stepped up efforts responsibly, more strongly allied with Iran and yet to be determined aid from China, likely short of direct military involvement.

Russian warplanes and cruise missiles now attack terrorist positions in Syria from Iranian territory. Black Sea warships firepower destroyed “a command post and a terrorist base near the village of Dar Taaza as well as a production site of mortar ammunition and an arms depot in Aleppo province,” according to Russia’s Defense Ministry.

Its military might is a direct threat to America’s sought unchallenged regional dominance. So is Putin’s determination to defeat the scourge of US-supported terrorism.

Neocon David J. Kramer’s Washington Post op-ed calls Russia a threat, and “(t)he US should treat it like one.”

Fact: The Russian Federation attacked no other country throughout its short history. It threatens none now.

Kramer: “The next president should recognize that Russia under Vladimir Putin is an authoritarian, kleptocratic regime that poses a serious threat to our values, interests and allies.”

“We should contain and deter Russian aggression by reassuring our NATO allies that we will defend them, fulfilling the collective-defense guarantees of Article 5 and reaffirming our support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and aspirations of Russia’s neighbors to join NATO or the European Union.”

“We must also support those living inside Russia who are struggling for a better, more democratic future.”

No responsible editors would publish this type rubbish. Neocon WaPo ones do it all the time - like their scoundrel media counterparts, bashing Putin relentlessly.

He’s humanity’s best hope for world peace and stability, America its most serious threat - a ruthless duopoly-run regime, wanting puppet regimes it controls replacing all sovereign independent states.

The rest of Kramer’s anti-Putin harangue continued a barrage of misinformation and Big Lies - beginning-to-end propaganda.

The greater his success in combating US-sponsored terrorism, the harsher the criticism following, along with incremental steps toward direct confrontation - the unthinkable possibility of nuclear war.
