Deconstructing John Kerry’s Latest Big Lies

February 14th, 2016

Stephen Lendman

As secretary of state, Kerry is Washington’s imperial front man, its lead spokesman, complicit in its high crimes, justifying the unjustifiable, pretending to want peace while endless US wars rage.

Addressing Munich Security Conference participants, he repeated tired old Big Lies, featuring long ago discredited US policies, an agenda holding humanity hostage to its viciousness.

His disingenuous claims about American “democratic values…liberty, decency, justice and rule of law” fooled no one.

He expressed “unwavering support” for US-installed fascist putschists in Ukraine - at the same time, blasting nonexistent “Russian aggression” while irresponsibly blaming Moscow for Minsk peace initiative failures.

Washington and Kiev conspired to subvert forthright Russian-led conflict resolution efforts. Low-level war continues.

Tinder box conditions exist. US-initiated full-blown conflict could resume any time - Washington using its Kiev proxy to do its dirty work.

Ukraine is a failed state, hugely corrupted fascists running things, internally despised, waging war on its own people, all fundamental rights abolished - US political and economic aid (through the IMF) alone keeping it from collapsing. For how long remains to be seen.

Kerry ludicrously highlighted what he called America’s “fight against violent extremism” - US-created ISIS and other terrorist groups he failed to explain.

Washington remains “determin(ed) to defeat Daesh,” he blustered - America’s creation, used as imperial foot soldiers.

“(W)e are going after its fighters,” he added. Months of US airstrikes on Syria and Iraq targeted only infrastructure and government sites - supporting ISIS, not combating it.

All terrorists groups operating in Syria and Iraq exist because of foreign support. Without it, they’d fade to insignificance.

Washington values them as proxy forces, used to do its dirty work, further its imperial agenda, the devastating human toll considered a small price to pay.

Washington’s ruthless imperial agenda, allied with likeminded NATO partners, Israel, Saudi Arabia and other despotic Arab regimes, threatens world peace.

They’re responsible for the severest humanitarian crisis since WW II, a grave, worsening, festering, inadequately addressed deplorable situation, millions held hostage to America’s imperial ruthlessness.

Obama’s war on Syria rages endlessly, Kerry irresponsibly blaming Assad and Russia for US imperial lawlessness.

Saying America is committed to “end(ing) violence (and) bloodshed” belies its rage for endless war, genocidal slaughter, vast destruction and unspeakable human misery.

Nothing in prospect suggests positive change ahead. The outlook remains grim.

Washington bears full responsibility. Its rage for dominance is the greatest threat to world peace.
