Western Media Hype Rages Post-Paris Attacks

November 17th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Instead of reporting fully and accurately, Western media unquestioningly support the official narrative about Friday’s Paris attacks - almost certainly a state-sponsored false flag. The public is systematically lied to.

Post-Paris attacks, headlines hype fear-mongering, manipulating people to support endless wars OF terror against nations threatening no one - on the phony pretext of fighting ISIS, a US creation.

Media scoundrels are complicit agents of Washington’s imperial agenda - including war at home on freedom as well as permanent ones abroad.

The New York Times famously avoids screaming top-of-the front page headlines. Over the weekend, they disgracefully switched formats, reporting tabloid-style - on Sunday headlining in bold letters: “PARIS ATTACK WAS WORK OF 3 TEAMS, AN ‘ACT OF WAR’ BY ISIS, FRANCE SAYS.”

One of several Sunday stories said Friday’s attacks “are almost certain to force a reassessment of the threat and may prompt a more aggressive (US) strategy against the Islamic State…”

The Times suppressed what’s most important to report, explained in many articles I and others have written, stated above. ISIS, Al Qaeda, Jabhat al-Nusra and various splinter groups are US creations, used as proxy foot soldiers where they’re deployed, notably in Syria and Iraq.

They exist because America supports them, likely intending to use them more aggressively.

Times editors called Friday’s attacks “incomprehensible barbarism against a free and civilized society by armed terrorists” - failing to explain their origin, their US-led Western backers, supplying them terror weapons for Friday’s Paris attacks, letting them rampage unobstructed, doing nothing to prevent what happened or intervene responsibly once it began.

Times editors virtually issued a call to arms, saying “(t)his attack will harden the resolve of the French against the savagery of the Islamic State, as it must the world’s” - a disgraceful advocacy for greater wars than already.

The Washington Post published multiple jingoistic reports, including an editorial headlined “Facing evil in Paris and beyond,” saying:

“(S)uicide bombers and gunmen stormed citadels of leisure and pleasure that reflect the joys of not only Paris but also all the world.”

They “aimed at everyone who aspires to modernity and cherishes a free and open society.” WaPo editors urge escalated imperial wars. America needs leadership committed to wage them, they blustered.

Wall Street Journal editors headlined “The Horror in Paris,” saying what happened “requires a new antiterror resolve” - without explaining America’s war on terror is all-out war OF terror on humanity, raging nonstop in multiple theaters, forever wars with no end.

“Big cities are vulnerable targets,” Journal editors blustered. The most well-known new millennium attacks were state-sponsored.

They include 9/11 (with war on Afghanistan planned and the Patriot Act written in advance) Madrid 2004 on the eve of Spanish elections, the London July 7, 2005 (so-called 7/7) underground bombings, Mumbai 2008 attacks, numerous FBI staged incidents unjustly framing Muslims, Ankara in October, and now Paris on Friday.

Journal editors call Washington’s war on terror way too little, too cautious, “mov(ing) far too slowly…(I)t needs to accelerate…What’s needed now is a renewed sense of purpose to” wage all-out endless wars.

Last week, ahead of the Paris attacks, former special presidential envoy against ISIS General John Allen said America may “be condemned to fight (it) forever.” Last summer, he warned of war lasting “a generation or more.”

Like other agents of America’s imperial project, he failed to explain the root cause of terrorism, the scourge lunatics in Washington created and continue supporting.

Post-9/11 forever wars continue. Expect them escalated in the wake of Friday’s Paris attacks.
