NYT Anti-Palestinian Propaganda

October 29th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Other articles explained The Times features all propaganda, all the time on issues mattering most - not a dime’s worth of straight talk on major national and geopolitical topics, vital at a time America’s war on humanity threatens everyone.

A glaring example is its one-sided support for Israel, longstanding anti-Palestinian policy, blaming them for state-sponsored high crimes, ruthless genocide against an entire population. The latest Times propaganda piece headlined “Palestinian Anger in Jerusalem and West Bank Gets a Violent Soundtract” - ridiculing decades of horrific pain and suffering at the hands of a ruthless occupier, ignoring its vicious brutality.

Saying “(i)nspired by this month’s wave of Palestinian attacks against Israeli Jews and deadly clashes with Israeli security forces, musicians in the occupied West Bank and beyond have produced scores of militaristic, often violent tunes.”

“Published and shared on YouTube and Facebook, they form something of an intifada soundtrack, illustrated by videos that include gritty clips from fresh events.”

The Times so-called “wave of Palestinian attacks against Israeli Jews” consists largely of stone-throwing incidents.

A handful of violent attacks followed multiple Israeli vicious provocations, physically attacking Palestinians, killing and injuring them - including brutalizing and forcibly removing Al-Aqsa Mosque worshipers multiple times, damaging its sacred confines, letting radicalized settlers pray in the compound where they don’t belong.

The entire world community should denounce Israel’s outrageous policy. Instead, largely ignored it, at best giving it short shrift attention, focusing mainly on vilifying Palestinians - The Times in the media lead, featuring one-sided daily propaganda since Israeli state terror elicited a justifiable Palestinian response.

It vilified expressions of righteous anger. It finds new ways of disgracing itself almost daily - operating as a mouthpiece for state-sponsored tyranny, supporting imperial terror, denigrating victims, mindless of their horrendous suffering.

The purpose of The Times article is diverting attention from horrific Israeli high crimes. Terrorizing a population relentlessly for decades elicits a just response, but not on Times’ pages.

Self-defense is an inviolable right - what Times correspondents, columnists, contributors and editors don’t explain, or support righteousness over state-sponsored criminality.

No nations more viciously abuse others than America and Israel, none among developed nations more socially unjust. None more represent the interests of its privileged few at the expense of all others.

None more mock fundamental democratic values, none more contemptuous of peace, equity and justice. None wage more endless wars of aggression on defenseless victims. Their barbarity knows no limits.

Don’t expect The Times to explain - a longstanding voice for wealth, power, privilege, and deplorable notion that might makes right.

A Final Comment

On Friday, Israeli forces preemptorially attacked Palestinians across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, injuring dozens with live fire, rubber-coated steel bullets, tear gas and brutal beatings.

The New York Times ignored another day of Israeli state terror, focusing instead on so-called Palestinian “violent soundtract(s)” - denigrating their suffering, mocking legitimate journalism.
