Saudi Indifference to Human Lives and Welfare

October 1st, 2015

Saudi Arabia is perhaps the world’s most ruthless regime, second only to America and Israel’s partnership, together a true axis of pure evil.

Riyadh persecutes its own population ruthlessly, tolerating no dissent, sentencing victims to death for the crime of truth-telling, partnering with US regional wars, supplying weapons, funding and banned chemical agents to terrorists in Iraq and Syria.

For six months, it’s been terror bombing Yemen, using banned cluster munitions and toxic agents, murdering thousands of civilians, potentially starving millions to death by blockade, preventing enough food, medical supplies and other essentials from entering.

Western media practically ignore what’s happening - Obama’s war, Saudi death squads doing his dirty work, an unfolding genocide of potentially biblical proportions.

On Tuesday, Saudi warplanes targeted a wedding party in southwestern Yemen. Riyadh denied committing mass murder - 135 men, women and children ruthlessly slaughtered.

Hospital officials said 70 women died. Some mutilated bodies were beyond recognition. The previous day, Saudi terror bombing killed 30 Yemenis in a northern village, mostly civilians.

US intelligence selects targets to strike. Washington sells Riyadh terror weapons to commit mass murder. Endless conflict continues, horrific atrocities committed daily, mostly against noncombatant civilians.

The true Yemeni death and injury toll is multiples higher than official reports, numbers exponentially increasing daily.

The Internal Displacement Center (IDMC) estimates around 1.5 million internally displaced Yemenis as of August, plus many more externally. It called dire humanitarian conditions likely to deteriorate further. Conflict resolution is distant at best.

Saudi family members are responsible for protecting the safety and welfare of Hajj pilgrims. It bears full responsibility for the September 24 stampede, claiming thousands of casualties. The incident occurred during the symbolic stoning of Satan ritual.

The death toll reached nearly 4,200. Maybe many more injured will die - victims of Saudi indifference. There’s more if an Iraqi al-Nahrain News Agency report is accurate.

It cited an unnamed European intelligence source saying Saudi intelligence conspired with Israel’s Mossad, causing the deadly crush deliberately.

The aim, if true, was abducting high-ranking Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) commanders and diplomats participating in the Hajj, figures close to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei - including former Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi.

Institute for IRGC strategic studies head Ali Asghar Fouladgar was reported missing - along with IRGC commanders Hussein Danesh, Fo’ad Mashghali, Ammar Miransari and Seyyed Hasan Hasani.

Iranian and Israeli officials haven’t commented. If al-Nahrain’s report proves accurate, it suggests a Saudi/Israeli operation to get information on Iran’s weapons systems from officials knowledgeable about them.

Head of Tehran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Saeed Ohadi, reported 239 Iranians confirmed killed, another 14 injured, and 241 still missing - as of September 29.

Over half-a-dozen previous Hajj tragedies occurred. On September 11, a huge crane toppled over Mecca’s Grand Mosque, killing at least 111 and injuring around 400 others.

Saudi officials attributed the incident to strong winds. Indifference to human lives and safety bore full responsibility. Saudi oil wealth benefits royal family members at the expense of its ordinary citizens.

It’s used for regional wars and instability, part of Riyadh’s dirty alliance with Washington and other imperial interests, mainly its own.
