A former Madame and dominatrix, Natalie Rowe, made high profile news yesterday in an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Ms. Rowe said that her phone was hacked in 2005 just before the Daily Mirror did a story about her use of cocaine and other vice activities with Conservative Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne. The drug use and girls-for-hire action occurred, it is claimed, during and shortly after the time Osborne was a student at Oxford University and involved members of the elite Bullingdon drinking club.
Shut down in shame in July, Rupert Murdoch's News of the World (NoW) got the intel on the Mirror story through a phone hack on Rowe's phone. That resulted in what the Financial Times called a spoiler story. As the Mirror story broke, NoW's campaign to discredit Rowe was in full swing.
Anti-Israeli Friction Helps Palestinians

Borrowing the opening line from Dickens' "Tale of Two Cities:"
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...."
He referred to the French Revolution, promising "Liberte, egalite and fraternite." Inspired by America's, it began in 1789, ending 1,000 years of monarchal rule, benefitting the privileged only. A republic replaced it.
That was the good news. The bad was the wrong people took power. The moderate Jacobins lost out to extremists, ushering in a "reign of terror."
New York Times: Railing Against Palestinian Statehood

Longstanding Times policy supports wealth and power; war, not peace; US hegemony and imperial rampaging; and all things benefitting Israel.
In so doing, it turns a blind eye to its most egregious violations of international law, norms and standards.

Endorsing wrong over right, its August 7 "Palestinians and the UN" editorial falsified and distorted key facts. It also suppressed others instead of explaining issues forthrightly.
That's never been NYT's long suit.

9/11 and the Fallacy of Terrorism

In Endgame, a two-volume tome that everyone should read, Jensen writes, “Bringing down civilization means depriving the rich of their ability to steal from the poor, and it means depriving the powerful of their ability to destroy the planet.” He backs this up with his Twenty Premises.
DGR agrees: “It means thoroughly destroying the political, social, physical, and technological infrastructure that not only permits the rich to steal and the powerful to destroy, but rewards them for doing so.”
Israeli/Turkish/Palestinian Tensions

Issues affecting Palestinians include:
statehood within 1967 borders (22% of historic Palestine);
East Jerusalem as its capital;
full de jure UN membership;
44 years of illegal occupation;
decades of unresolved Israeli crimes of war and against humanity;
daily land theft and dispossessions;
illegal detentions and torture;
argeted assassinations;
horrific levels of oppression and persecution overall; and
many other longstanding festering grievances.
For Turkey, relations have deteriorated for years. Cast Lead exacerbated them. So did murdering nine Turkish nationals on May 31, 2010, aboard the Mavi Marmara humanitarian aid ship.

Those people won’t change because the whole Zionist culture is based on war said an Arab writer. This might be the explanation of the inability of the Israeli right wing to see the changes in the region, which makes the opposition leader tsivi livni warns that this road leads Israel to self destruction. Indeed while the question of human rights has become the central issue in the Arab spring, the policy of theft and land grab continues to be the main characteristic of the Israeli policy. And there is no single indication which shows that Israel is ready to change this course.

Unhappily, the corporate media has been a co-conspirator in the 9/11 Cover Up from day one. They have actively abetted the government with its dirty work. Say a truth teller got arrested on the Patriot Act—like me— and locked in prison on a military base, while the public debate raged over 9/11 and Iraq without access to knowledgeable sources. The government could rely on corporate media to squash the story, while the Justice Department fought my demands for a trial, playing every dirty trick in the book to stop a New York jury from hearing testimony about 9/11 and Iraq.
9/11: Echoes of the Big Lie

A September 10 Wall Street Journal editorial headlined, "The 9/11 Decade," recalling its 9/11/01 edition, saying:
That Tuesday morning, "the World-Wide column of The Wall Street Journal carried" violent incident reports in Istanbul, Nigeria, the "menace" of global justice protests, and challenges of various "urban-guerrila movement(s)."
