Israel, US, UK Nuclear Collusion, 'Intelligence' and Blowback

November 6th, 2011

Eileen Fleming

Last week Israel successfully test-fired a new long-range ballistic missile, capable of striking military targets deep inside Iran.

In remarks to Israel's Knesset, Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "A nuclear Iran will pose a serious threat to the Middle East and the entire world, and it of course poses a direct and heavy threat to us."

On September 3rd, Gen. Hasan Firouzabadi, supreme commander of Iran’s military and Revolutionary Guards armed forces, said, “Iran hopes there won’t be a need to target the nuclear facility of the Zionist regime, but if there is, Israel would receive dreadful retribution. Our developed weapons can hit any part of the Zionist regime.” [1]

Israeli ambassador in Washington Michael Oren, claims Hezbollah in South Lebanon has 16,000 rockets ranged to cover every part of Israel with enhanced precision and that includes the Dimona WMD facility- which has never allowed International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors into.

The Associated Press reported last Friday that unnamed Diplomats said the UN atomic agency plans to reveal intelligence this week suggesting Iran made computer models of a nuclear warhead and will share with its 35 board members satellite imagery of what the IAEA believes is a large steel container used for nuclear arms-related high explosives tests.

National Public Radio's War on Free Speech

November 6th, 2011

by Stephen Lendman

Like other major media sources, NPR serves corporate and imperial interests. It's called public to conceal its real agenda. Critics ridicule it as National Pentagon or Petroleum Radio for good reason.

It features managed, not real, news and information. In its May/June 2004 issue of Extra!, Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) headlined, "How Public Is Public Radio?” saying:

From inception, "it promised to be an alternative to commercial media that would 'promote personal growth rather than corporate gain (and) speak with many voices, many dialects.' "

Not according to FAIR on "every on-air source quoted in June 2003 on four of (NPR's) news shows: All Things Considered, Morning Edition, Weekend Edition Saturday and Weekend Edition Sunday."

Washington and Israel: Rogue State Partners

November 6th, 2011

by Stephen Lendman

This articles follows another about both countries' state terror partnership. Their agenda includes waging belligerent, political, economic, social, and repressive wars on humanity at home and abroad.

Money and power alone matter. Human welfare is sacrificed for more of both. Equity, justice, freedom, and other democratic values are non-starters. Humanity's survival is threatened.

In recent weeks, Western and Israeli anti-Iranian rhetoric intensified.

Attending the Cannes, France G-20 summit, Obama stressed "the need to maintain unprecedented international pressure on Iran to meet its obligations."

If only America and Israel met theirs. No evidence suggests Iran threatens anyone. Bogus accusations claim otherwise, including calling Iran "the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism."

Modern Monetary Mechanics – Part 4 – The Hook

November 5th, 2011

By GoldSaver

In every con there is a hook, a way to catch you and keep you in the con until you have been fleeced. This con is a multi generational con and as such is designed to hook you from the moment you are born until you die; to keep you a mark from cradle to grave. In this section we discuss the hook and how you are been played.

I want to apologize to you. I should have warned you before you began reading my writings. What I am about to tell you will change your life. If you are still in denial, even after reading what I have written so far, I am going to ask you to stop reading right now. If you do, perhaps you will be able to ignore everything you read so far. Perhaps it will make it easier to attribute my writing to some kook on the internet. If you choose to stop reading now, the best I can hope is that you do think of me as some kook and go on with your life as it is today. Get up at six in the morning, if you are lucky cuddle with your mate. Jump in the shower and turn on the tele. Perhaps listen to the financial news and the weather. Go to your job in your two year old car that you will still be making payments on for the next 4 years. Spend an hour in traffic and 8 hours in the office or store or factory. Battle the other commuters on the highway and get home to have a late supper. Tuck your children in bed. Kiss them on the forehead for me will you? Jump in the shower and make love to your partner before falling asleep and doing it all again tomorrow. Friday night poker, Sunday morning church and Sunday afternoon football. And, more importantly ignore that nagging feeling in the back of your mind. You know the one. That feeling that something is wrong. Forget all about the crazy guy on the internet that said all those crazy things about money and currency, who needs it after all. You will be fine. Your kids will be fine. Please stop now.

Targeting Iran: World War III and The Chain of Obedience

November 5th, 2011

by Michel Chossudovsky

“The World is at dangerous crossroads... The holding of mass demonstrations and antiwar protests is not enough”

The military deployment of US-NATO forces is occurring in several regions of the World simultaneously.

Militarization at the global level is instrumented through the US military’s Unified Command structure: the entire planet is divided up into geographic Combatant Commands under the control of the Pentagon. According to (former) NATO Commander General Wesley Clark, the Pentagon’s military road-map consists of a sequence of war theaters: “[The] five-year campaign plan [includes]… a total of seven countries, beginning with Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Somalia and Sudan.”

Contact lost with Freedom Waves to Gaza in Eastern Mediterranean

November 5th, 2011

Mohamed S Kamel

Canadian and Irish ships sailing with Freedom Waves to Gaza are likely being illegally boarded and commandeered right now by the Israeli military in international waters – or they are about to be. Freedom Waves to Gaza organizers have been unable to communicate with the ships since soon after the vessels were approached by Israeli warships.

The Freedom Waves to Gaza initiative is a non-violent, civil society movement to challenge the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

“We have lost contact with the Tahrir and the Saoirse and are hoping for the best, but we fear the worst, given what now appears to be a communications blackout,” says Canadian Boat to Gaza organizer Dylan Penner. "Several regularly scheduled check-ins haven’t happened, and we have been unable to reach those aboard. Given Israel’s stated intent to illegally board the ships, it seems likely that they are doing so.”

Target Iran

November 4th, 2011

by Stephen Lendman

In the past five years, Iran faced four harsh rounds of sanctions. At issue is its alleged nuclear threat. No evidence proves it.

Last May, its Bushehr nuclear plant began operating. In September, it began supplying the national grid with 60 megawatts of electricity, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) spokesman Khadem Qaemi said operations were at 40% of capacity.

Earlier in 2011, the IAEA said no information suggests "possible military dimensions" to its plans.

For years, Tehran's insisted its intentions are entirely commercial and peaceful. It's emphatic claiming no interest in producing nuclear weapons. It hopes Bushehr will become one of a network of commercial reactors supplying electricity. If so, it will reduce Iran's fossil fuel reliance. Other nations do it for the same reason despite the hazards of nuclear power in all forms.

Washington's Man in Libya

November 4th, 2011

by Stephen Lendman

After ousting independent leaders, Washington replaces them with puppets. Mustafa Abdul Jalil is interim chairman. Until October 23, Mahmoud Jibril was prime minister.

Abdurraheem el-Keib replaced him, a dual US/Libyan citizen. He lived in America, holds a doctorate in electrical engineering, and taught at North Carolina State University and the University of Alabama for years.

A businessman and prominent Tripoli family scion, he also taught at the UAE's Petroleum Institute. Big Oil giants fund it.

Towards a Culture of Peace and Recognition, Palestine is a UNESCO Member State

November 4th, 2011

By: Ayman Qwaider

Palestine is the 195th state to join the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO. The admission of Palestine to the UNESCO family has given optimism and hope to Palestinians who believe in the mission of UNESCO “Building peace in the Mind of Men and Women”. The admission of Palestine is a symbolic victory not only for Palestinians, but also for the many nations around the world that voted for the recognition of accepting Palestine as the legitimate sovereign state of the Palestinian People. While this vote did not result in the legal recognition of Palestinian sovereignty in the league of the United Nations, the large majority of nations that supported Palestine’s admission to UNESCO is symbolic of the overwhelming global support of Palestinian national rights and sovereignty.

Palestinians have been subjected to a prolonged system of injustice, and for decades we have been struggling not simply to be recognized as a sovereign people, but simply to have our basic human rights protected. Today, with this unilateral step towards attaining our human rights, dignity and statehood, we are that much closer to ensuring the rights and dignity of the future generations of Palestinians.

PEACE

November 3rd, 2011

by Michael Boldin

What sane person doesn’t want peace – peace in their communities and peace in their lives?

Absence of peace, a state of conflict, lowers our chances for a long, healthy, happy and prosperous life. Peace is something we strive for in our workplace, in our family, in our home, and yes – even in politics – although different people obviously have different methods that they believe will attain their desired peace.

The Founding Fathers thought that peace was extremely important in political thought.

James Madison, the “father of the constitution” considered war, the opposite of peace, to be a great evil when he wrote:

“Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.”
