For 29 long days and nights, Israel waged the war on the people of Gaza. Given the immense bravery and strategic resourcefulness, insanity went on unchecked to murder the innocent in ‘open prison’ just to preserve once status-quo in border security and map without borders. Its consequences do not change the outcome for prevalent insecurity and mutual mistrust or set the stage for peace and harmony between the two unequal warriors. The current UNO-General Assembly criticizes the disproportionate human losses and deliberate destruction of the infrastructures and blames Israel for good many acts of vengeance against the helpless Palestinians in Gaza. More specifically, how the Israeli targeted the UN operated schools, hospitals, the places of worship and killed civilians- children and women and devastated civic infrastructures. The sheer madness resulted in killing of 1,876 Palestinians in Gaza, 9,000 wounded and 64 Israeli troops and 3 civilians. Israel and Hamas both appear to be losers not winners in this ‘catastrophic madness’ as the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon described it. Felicity Arbuthnot (“Israel: International Anger Mounts” Global Research: 7/23/2014), a London-based journalist and peace activist offers most penetrating insight into the current crisis:

I continue my recovery as an outpatient. It's my top priority. I hope to write and do media work as able. It's what I love best.
It was agonizing being silenced during the worst of Israel's genocidal slaughter of non-combatant men, women, children, infants, the elderly and infirm.

Greg Palast headlined at his site on August 7th, "How Barack Obama could end the Argentina debt crisis," and opened:
"The 'vulture' financier now threatening to devour Argentina can be stopped dead by a simple note to the courts from Barack Obama. But the president, while officially supporting Argentina, has not done this one thing that could save Buenos Aires from default. Obama could prevent vulture hedge-fund billionaire Paul Singer from collecting a single penny from Argentina by invoking the long-established authority granted presidents by the US constitution's 'Separation of Powers' clause. Under the principle known as 'comity', Obama only need inform US federal judge Thomas Griesa that Singer's suit interferes with the president's sole authority to conduct foreign policy. Case dismissed."
Singer is a major funder of the Republican Party. Palast's report attributes this fact to Singer's trying to buy that Party's support in Singer’s duel against Argentina:
"Since taking on Argentina, Singer has unlocked his billion-dollar bank account, becoming the biggest donor to New York Republican causes. He is a founder of Restore Our Future, a billionaire boys club, channelling the funds of Bill Koch and other Richie Rich-kid Republicans into a fearsome war-chest dedicated to vicious political attack ads. And Singer recently gave $1m to Karl Rove's Crossroads operation, another political attack machine."

Rasmussen was in Kiev meeting with Poroshenko, tightening the direct NATO committment to Ukraine, despite the fact that Ukraine is not a NATO member and is not covered by the NATO collective defense clause. Rasmussen has also made outrageous statements asserting NATO's role in the Asia-Pacific region making it clear that China, too, is in the target zone of these dangerous lunatics.

Veteran national-security reporter Bill Gertz, in major news at The Washington Free Beacon, headlines today that "Russian Strategic Bombers Conduct More Than 16 Incursions of U.S. Air Defense Zones," and reports that "Russian strategic nuclear forces appear to be 'trying to test our air defense reactions, or our command and control systems,’ said an official familiar with reports of the incursions. 'These are not just training missions,' the official added." Furthermore, says Gertz, “Adm. Cecil Haney, commander of the U.S. Strategic Command, expressed concerns about the increase in Russian strategic nuclear activities during a speech in Washington June 18. Haney said Russian nuclear activities coincided with recent tensions over Ukraine and included the test launch of six air-launched cruise missiles in a show of force. ... ‘Additionally, we have seen significant Russian strategic aircraft deployments in the vicinity of places like Japan, Korea, and even our West Coast,’ Haney said at a defense industry breakfast. ‘Russia continues to modernize its strategic capabilities across all legs of its triad, and open source [reporting] has recently cited the sea trials of its latest [missile submarine] testing of its newest air-launched cruise missile and modernization of its intercontinental ballistic force to include its mobile capability in that area,’ he said.”

U.S. President Barack Obama's war against Russia isn't only causing Russia to cooperate more strongly with the other BRIC countries to break the U.S. dollar's reign as the global reserve currency, but it's also causing Russian President Vladimir Putin's job-approval rating in Russia to soar, and the confidence that the Russian people have in their own Government to soar likewise.
The latest of these signs came on 5 August 2014 in a report from Gallup Analytics (by subscription only) headlined "Russians' Confidence in Many Institutions Reaches All-Time High." Especially sharp has been the rise in "Confidence in national government," which was only 39% in 2013 prior to the overthrow by Obama in February 2014 of Ukraine's government which had been friendly to Russia, but which confidence-level stands now at 64% -- a gain of 64/39 or 1.64 times higher than it was a year ago. Confidence in the military has risen from 65% in 2013 to 78% now. Confidence in the "honesty of elections" has risen from a very low 23% in 2013 to 39% today (which is 39/23 or 1.70 times higher), as increasing numbers of Russians have come to conclude that their political system is producing better results for them than they had expected, perhaps better than in the longer-established "democratic" nations, such as the United States, whose President Barack Obama is far less highly regarded now by Russians, after his overthrowing Ukraine's Government, than he was prior to that. Remarkably, more Russians than ever before, 65%, answer "Yes" when asked "are you satisfied ... with your freedom to choose what you do with your life?" Last year, only 56% did, down 2% from the prior all-time high of 58% in 2006.
Systematically Reconstructing the Shoot-Down of the Malaysian Airliner: The Guilt Is Clear and Damning

On July 22nd, zerohedge bannered sarcastically, "Flight MH-17 Black Boxes To Be Analyzed In 'Impartial' London," and reported that they would be analyzed by the U.S.-allied, anti-Russian, pro-Ukrainian, British Government. A mere four days later, on the 26th, CBS News headlined the results, "Black box findings consistent with missile blast," but they declined to report who, or even what country's government, had actually done the analysis. CBS reported merely: "Unreleased data from a black box retrieved from the wreckage of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 in Ukraine show findings consistent with the plane's fuselage being hit multiple times by shrapnel from a missile explosion. 'It did what it was designed to do,' a European air safety official told CBS News, 'bring down airplanes.' The official described the finding as 'massive explosive decompression.'" That's all. Nothing more. However, this "explosive decompression" would have happened with bullets too, if the pressurized airliner were punctured by bullets instead of shrapnel. Why did that person (whomever it was) assume that the plane had been hit by a missile's shrapnel, instead of by hails of bullets fired by machine-guns from a fighter-plane flying alongside it? Maybe because Britain is allied with the Obama-installed Ukrainian Government, against the anti-Government rebels who have no airplanes at all and thus cannot get gunmen 33,000 feet up into the air to shoot directly at the Malaysian airliner's pilot, and that that's what actually brought this plane down. We’ll show that the latter scenario is, indeed, correct.
Back from the Abyss

I've been ill and unable to do what I love best for 2 months. Yesterday, August 6, I came home for the first time since hospitalized on June 4.
At the time, I posted a brief message on my blog site. I expected a few days of treatment. Then home to resume my writing and media work.
Things didn't turn out that way. I owe my friends, colleagues and readers an explanation.
Multiple problems developed. One rather serious one. Thankfully they were resolved. But it took time - 2 weeks at Northwestern Memorial Hospital followed by 6 weeks at Warren Barr rehab facility.
The experience was life changing. I wondered at times if I'd ever be me again. I still have lots of recovery to go as an outpatient.
I worked very hard with good therapy people helping me daily. I'm deeply grateful to them for taking me from a very low point to going home yesterday.
