It appears that the Russians got tired of waiting. I suggest that you all carefully parse the Statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs I posted earlier today. This is an interesting document because besides an explanation of the Russian decision to move in, it is also, potentially, a legal defense of an unprecedented Russian decision: to overtly violate the Ukrainian sovereignty. Let me explain.
First, the case of Crimea was also a "special case". The Russians were legally present there and, in the Russian rationale, all the "Polite Armed Men in Green" did was to protect the local population to make it possible for the latter to freely express its will. Only after that will was expressed did Russia agree to formally re-incorporate Crimea into Russia. So from the legal Russian point of view, none of the Russian actions in Crimea included any form of violation of Ukrainian sovereignty. I know, most western analysts will not agree, but that is the official Russian stance. And official stances are important because they form the basis for a legal argument.

It seems like this well-thought out plan that the people behind the curtain had devised to implement the Americanization of this planet has suddenly blown up in their faces. One does not need to be an economist or work for a think-tank to realize the fact that Washington's schemes and machinations have definitely gone awry... big time. Please try to bear with me as I go through the litany of failed policies that have come so precariously close to setting the World alight.
I'll begin with the Vietnam War which was a horrible military and political mistake. To most Americans we lost lives and trillions from our treasury. We tarnished our image in the eyes of the World and divided the country into a left-right dog and pony show that continues to this day. In the eyes of the average American the Vietnam experience was a bad time for many Americans (and Vietnamese) and it was a losing proposition.

August 24 marks Ukraine's 23rd Independence Day since first commemorated on July 16, 1991.
An August 24, 1991 parliamentary Ukraine Declaration of Independence Act created an independent state.
On August 26, 1991, monuments of communist heroes were removed from public places. October Revolution Square was renamed Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square).
Since 1992, Independence Day is celebrated on August 24. Obama's new friends orchestrated events this year.
They're putschist, racist, xenophobic, ultranationalist, anti-Semitic, neo-Nazi-infested fascists. They control things.
They include a rogue's gallery of societal misfits. They have no legitimacy whatever.
Washington elevated them to power. Ukraine's democratically elected government was ousted. Mob rule replaced it.

War without mercy is official Israeli policy. Rule of law principles don't matter.
Throughout its entire history, Israel waged genocidal war on Palestine.
Its 1947-48 War of Independence prioritized an exclusive Jewish state with no Arab presence.
Strategy was by any means possible. It included mass murder, destruction and forced displacement.
According to historian Ilan Pappe, Israeli policy involved "large-scale intimidation; laying siege to and bombarding villages and population centres; setting fire to homes, properties and goods; expulsion; demolition; and finally, planting mines among the rubble to prevent any of the expelled inhabitants from returning."

In early 2011, Obama initiated proxy war on Syria. It remains ongoing.
Insurgent extremists are recruited, funded, trained, armed and imported from dozens of countries.
Key NATO partners, rogue Arab states and Israel are involved. The same dirty game repeats with disturbing regularity.
Washington targets all independent states. It wants pro-Western stooge regimes replacing them.
It wants unchallenged global control. Direct and proxy wars of aggression are waged for it. Syria remains in the eye of the storm.
Ongoing conflict isn't civil. Not when mostly imported proxies are used. Most Syrians deplore violence.
They oppose internal and external groups committing it. They want peaceful conflict resolution.
They support Bashir Assad overwhelmingly. In a June 3, 2014 election independently judged open, free and fair, they reelected him by an 88.7% majority.

The Ferguson Saga: Another OBAMA ‘Production’ Designed To Distract, Divert And Deceive
Life has a way of creating the Perfect Storm at times which serves many purposes on many levels. Kind of like an intensely dramatic Hollywood production that captures the imagination of the public, so much so that everyone’s talking about … and learning from it … and being imperceptibly influenced by it.
In Ferguson there is a confluence of circumstances — some manmade (manufactured by those with an agenda) and some created by the ‘Universe’ — which were just waiting for an opportunity to explode into what has now become labelled an … … … I N T E R N A T I O N A L I N C I D E N T !

America’s ‘news’ media do not let the victims of Ukraine’s civil war — the people who are dying and being driven out from the southeastern regions of that country by the new Ukrainian Government — speak, and tell their story. Scenes will therefore be posted below from an admittedly overlong amateur video from southeastern Ukraine, in which they have been allowed to tell their story. This is being done here since U.S. ‘news’ media apparently don’t consider it something that you would want to know, and since you should be allowed to judge for yourself whether it is or not, and to judge why it’s not being reported on the ‘news’ sources that our ‘democracy’ offers to ‘inform’ America’s public about public affairs. It is also being done because these still photos from the documentary summarize this over-long documentary’s important narrative. You are welcomed to click onto the link above to see the entire 82-minute documentary.

War without mercy in Ukraine rages. Washington offers full support and encouragement.
Obama's new friends are ruthless. They're illegitimate neo-Nazi infested fascists.
They're murdering their own citizens. Donbass region residents face daily bombing and shelling.
Over 2,000 were killed. Many others were injured. Hundreds of thousands are internally or externally displaced.
Conditions are dire. A humanitarian crisis persists. Things go from bad to worse.
Lugansk residents have no electricity or running water. Food, medical supplies and other essentials to life are in short supply.

James Foley was a much stronger journalist than I could ever hope to be. Foley went missing in Syria in 2012, and it appears that he remained stoic right through the last words he spoke on video just before his brutal beheading by an Islamic State terrorist thug.
According to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), "Islamic State kidnaps, kills, and threatens journalists wherever it holds sway. Syria is the most dangerous country in the world for journalists, with at least 70 killed covering the conflict."
Amnesty International (AI) has called Foley's murder a war crime. "Those who carried out the killing and those who ordered it must face justice," said Margaret Huang, AIUSA's Deputy Executive Director of Campaigns and Programs.

Introduction
The Obama Administration actively pressured Europe to impose harsh sanctions on Russia in order to defend the violent takeover (‘regime change’) in the Ukraine. England, France, Germany and the rest of the European regimes gave in to Washington’s demands. Russia responded by imposing reciprocal sanctions, especially on agriculture goods, and is establishing alternative trading partners and increasing trade with China, Iran, Latin America and Africa.
The sanctions policies occur at a time when Europe’s economies are in deep economic crisis, exacerbating long-term stagnation and chronic recession. This paper will identify and analyze the crisis and how US-led sanctions policy is fracturing the European Union. Secondly, we will analyze how Washington’s militarist imperial policies undermine Europe economically and destabilize the rest of the world militarily. Thirdly, we will discuss how the European leaders are prodded by Washington, to put it crudely, through an aggressive ‘buggering process’, to surrender their economic sovereignty and how capitulation to the US project in the Ukraine will lead to their long-term decline and decay. Finally, we will discuss the long-term perspectives for a re-aligned world economy where military conflicts can result in large-scale changes.
