On Monday, former Kiev foreign intelligence service operative Alexei Miroshnichenko and former foreign ministry official Yuri Miroshnichenko held a press conference in Lugansk saying they can no longer tolerate what's ongoing in their country.
They're brothers. One worked in Kiev, the other at Ukraine's embassy in France. "We made the decision voluntarily. We were not compelled to do so," they said.
"We can no longer put up with what is happening in Ukraine. Traitors, fascists, various intelligence agents have taken up the reins of the country, and are leading it to ruin."
Alexei said "the turning point (for him) was (learning) the people of Donetsk and Lugansk are being deliberately exterminated."

Baseball great Yogi Berra was right. "It ain't over till it's over." More on this below.
On Friday, House members rejected fast track (Trade Promotion Authority - TPA) by a convoluted process explained below.
If enacted, it would let Obama ram through Congress with minimal hearings and no debate anti-consumer, ecosystem-destroying trade legislation global justice advocates call NAFTA on steroids.
Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade legislation empowers corporations over national sovereignty, domestic laws and popular interests. It's nightmarish by any standard.

Jeb Bush wants to be president. Why ordinary Americans would want him they'll have to explain.
Hugo Chavez called George Bush "the devil" who thinks he's "the owner of the world." It runs in the family.
All politicians lie. Ignore what Bush says. Understand what he'll do if elected.
He'll continue the same destructive policies wrecking mainstream America to enrich the privileged few he represents more than already - an agenda of endless wars, corporate empowerment, handouts and grand theft without accountability along with police state crackdowns on nonbelievers. America's gulag (at home and abroad) is filled with political prisoners. Its war on humanity risks world peace. It's the same whether Republicans or Democrats run Washington. They're all part of the same dirty system.

On Saturday, June 13th, The New York Times bannered, "U.S. Is Poised to Put Heavy Weaponry in Eastern Europe,” and Russia’s response to the announcement wasn’t long in coming.
The Russian equivalent of America’s Wall Street Journal and Britain’s Financial Times, which is Kommersant (or Businessperson), headlined on June 15th, "US may redeploy heavy weapons to the borders of the Russian Federation,” and reported that, "According to sources in the Russian Government, the implementation of this plan will force Moscow to post on the border with the Baltic countries Russia's own offensive military capability that can destroy US facilities in the event of a hypothetical conflict.”

Following is an interview with political analyst Daniel Patrick Welch, addressing recent revelations in The Guardian that the CIA didn't even follow its own guidelines on torture. Welch goes beyond the scope of the most recent leaks, trying to tie in the many connections between imperialism, death squad policy, white supremacy and the *real* Thousand Year Reich. Original article appears at http://presstv.ir/Detail/2015/06/16/416184/CIA-torture-core-feature-imperialism Full transcript here:
The interesting thing about these leaks--which are always prompted by lawsuits: it's impossible to get any clarity or transparency out of the CIA, whose job is to secretly and covertly monitor the world and do all these evil things in the name of the US government--is that occasionally you get the tiniest glimpse of the tip of this enormous iceberg that is the underground world of the CIA.

US anti-Russian provocations began increasing long before Washington's Ukraine coup. More recently, they've grown more belligerent.
Sanctions continue as one element of Obama's strategy despite their ineffectiveness and increased Sino/Russian ties - an alliance challenging US dominance.
A previous article discussed Obama considering aggressive action against Russia - including deploying nuclear-armed missiles in Europe targeting its heartland - on the bogus pretext of Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF 1987) violations.

Attacking other nations directly or indirectly posing no threat to America is longstanding US policy. Obama is the latest in a long line of warrior US presidents. He exceeds the worst of his predecessors. He's a war criminal multiple times over.
America's imperial agenda is lawless by any standard. It includes a sordid history of bombings, invasions, occupations, coups, assassinations, and other destabilizing activities aimed at making the world safe for monied interests - in blatant violation of core international law.
Since WW II, dozens of victimized countries include North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, Indonesia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Panama, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Pakistan (AfPak), Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Ukraine, Somalia, Palestine partnered with Israel, and on Sunday Libya again.

On Sunday, Israel's cabinet approved force-feeding Palestinian hunger strikers in blatant violation of medical ethics. The practice needs three Knesset readings to become law - virtually rubber-stamp given hardline racists in charge.
Force-feeding is torture by other means. It causes extreme pain and suffering. Victims are restrained for treatment to keep them from purging.
Tubes are forced painfully through their noses and throats to their stomachs. It's done abrasively. It draws blood. Liquid nutrients are pumped into their stomachs. No sedatives or anesthesia are given. The procedure is repeated twice daily. If vomiting occurs, the procedure is repeated.
Tubes are generally reused. They're covered in blood and stomach bile. At US torture prisons they're passed from one inmate to another. Israel likely intends the same procedure.

On September 30, 2010, US-orchestrated coup plotters shut down airports, blocked highways, took over an airbase, parliament and Quito streets - protesting a law restructuring police benefits despite President Raphael Correa doubling their wages.
He was pelted with tear gas and hospitalized - then prevented from leaving when rebel police and coup plotters surrounded the building. After Ecuadorean military and special police forces rescued him, he announced a "coup d'etat attempt by opposition forces. They resorted to (violence) because they" can't win electorally, he said.
"The conspiracy was planned long ago," he explained - indicating he knew where. Washington's dirty hands were all over what happened.

The Washington Peace Center "envision(s) a world based on respect for people and the planet that is achieved through nonviolence, peace and social justice."
Its web site featured an announcement of the opening of America's first ever Nakba Museum Project of Memory and Hope.
It "aims to invite Palestinians to finally tell their stories by providing them with a safe environment in which they can freely share their experiences of loss, devastation and hope."
"Through preserving these stories, we strive to preserve Palestinian heritage in its entirety."
"Our inaugural exhibit, Reclaiming the Lost Future, features a comprehensive exhibition about the flight and expulsion of Palestinians in 1948; photographs of nonviolent resistance and everyday life in the West Bank and Gaza; paintings by Palestinian artists living in refugee camps; and eyewitness testimonies and interviews with Palestinian refugees that highlight their struggles, loss, and undying resilience."
