Polar Opposite US/Russian Agendas in Syria

October 6th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Washington wants regime change, replacing Bashar al-Assad with a US selected puppet. Its strategy features naked aggression, transforming a peaceful nation threatening no one into an endless cauldron of violence, chaos and instability, causing enormous harm to millions of Syrians.

Words can’t explain their suffering. US imperial policy bears full responsibility, complicit with Israel, wanting a regional rival removed, more Syrian territory stolen, both nations pursuing their Greater Middle East agenda, strategies involving endless wars of aggression. Russian policy is polar opposite. Putin, Dmitry Medvedev, Sergey Lavrov and other officials are firm - supporting Syrians’ exclusive right to choose who’ll lead them, opposing foreign powers wanting their will imposed, going all-out to resolve things diplomatically, now confronting the scourge of terrorism head-on, what the entire free world applauds, directly contesting US imperial ruthlessness.

Nightshades Curb Your Enthusiasm

October 5th, 2015

By John Roth
[Disclaimer: The following is not a medical article]

I am a male over 60 and have [or had] a serious health problem that I tried to ignore for the last three years. I tried every holistic treatment, supplement, vitamin and herb under the sun. During that period my gastrointestinal tract quit working three times. I had a lot of trouble breathing and although I had the urge nothing would come out of my body. You get the picture.

Since I consider the hospital a dangerous place I refused to go to the Emergency Room. Not only do I avoid the Hospital like the plague I don’t go to doctors. When I was a kid, before modern medicine and “specialists,” our doctor, Abe Greenberg, carried a black bag and took an oath, Primum non nocere, "First, do no harm"). Doctor Greenberg in 1950, 10 years before iatrogenic disease became a reality [Appendix A], had this to say about the sick:

  • 95% of the people who are sick will get better by themselves.
  • 2.5% will get better with very little help.
  • The rest you can’t help anyway so leave them alone.

For Dr. Greenberg to be “politically and medically correct” he would have said:

  • 95% of the people who are sick, and who never went to a doctor and were never exposed to an epidemic or pandemic [Appendix B], will get better by themselves.
  • 2.5% will get better with very little help.
  • The rest you can’t help anyway so leave them alone.

I have been around doctors and hospitals my entire life. 50% of my male cousins are doctors. My father wanted to be a doctor. My mother wanted me to be a doctor and my sister almost married two doctors. I grew up working in the hospital owned by my father and his brother who was … you guessed it, a doctor. I watched the doctors kill my grandfather and brother in the name of health care progress, and finally I started a company with one of my doctor cousins that is a leading physician group practice company focused on the delivery of hospitalist medicine (Inpatient care) and related facility-based services, including acute, sub-acute and long-term care settings.

Russia in Syria

October 5th, 2015

Daniel Patrick Welch

Today's interview with PressTV about US' 'You Mad Bro' response to Russia's coming to the aid of its Syrian ally. Full transcript is below... but the line I am happiest with: "...Obama is assumed to be legitimate, and Bashar is the Devil? Why is that? Obama is the head of a militarized police state whose cops are slaughtering black teenagers in broad daylight with impunity, who came to power by literally *buying* the office for three quarters of a billion dollars in the most corrupt, money-laundering oligarchic ponzi scheme that the world has ever seen--relabeled as 'democracy.'"

Three Cheers for Gridlock

October 5th, 2015

By David Swanson

That little smoke-filled room where our despair and paranoia incline us to imagine a small number of evil people run the world clearly forgot to keep an eye on the Republican Party.

A popular movement has struggled to stop such looming disasters as the NAFTA-on-steroids Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), but the ouster of John Boehner as Speaker of the House puts stopping anything into play. While scholarly studies deem the U.S. government to be an oligarchy, based on whom it actually serves, petty partisan squabbling just might come riding to the rescue of democracy -- accidentally of course.

US Warplanes Willfully Attack an Afghan Hospital

October 5th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

A same day article discussed what happened briefly. This one covers updated information. US-claimed “collateral damage” when explaining civilian targets struck reflects willful coverup and denial.

America has precision munitions, able to hit targets with pinpoint accuracy. Its forces knew the coordinates of the Kunduz, Afghanistan hospital.

The only plausible explanation for what happened was cold, calculated, deliberate murder. US warplanes bombed the hospital for over an hour - the first strike at 2:10AM. Hospital staff notified NATO officials in Kabul minutes later. Bombing continued until 3:13AM. It bears repeating. Let’s not mince words.

Multiple US air strikes were willful acts of murder, likely targeting nearby Taliban fighters, maybe injured ones inside, or perhaps another reason yet to be revealed.

Formidable Russian Air Power Targets ISIS in Syria

October 5th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Russian air power is a force to be reckoned with, matching America’s best - with state-of-the-art warplanes, attack helicopters and support aircraft, backed up with unmatched surface-to-air missile defenses.

In mid-September, US Air Forces in Europe commander General Frank Forenc called the quality and quantity of Russian aircraft “alarming,” saying America’s “advantage…is shrinking” - code language for admitting Russia’s capability matches the Pentagon’s best.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said 50 warplanes and helicopters were deployed in Syria. Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said it was completed on “very short notice…possible because we had most of the material and ammunition ready at our (naval) depot in Tartus.”

“We only had to move our aircraft and deliver some extra equipment.” Sophisticated Su-24M and Su-25 ground attack planes” are being used.

Netanyahu’s UN Rant

October 5th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Netanyahu is an unindicted war criminal, an embarrassment to legitimate governance. Petitions circulated in Britain and America for his arrest.

He remains unaccountable for the supreme high crime against peace. Instead he’s feted where he shows up, especially in America, Britain and Canada, three rogue states supporting another’s leader, partnering in each other’s crimes.

Netanyahu’s UN address was beginning-to-end Big Lies, his usual rant, turning truth on its head, beginning by falsely claiming Israel is “the one true democracy in the Middle East.”

Why Was My Message Rejected?

October 4th, 2015

Katherine Smith PhD
I have been raising awareness about The Nationwide Broken Child Protection System since 2013 (www.savelexi.com).

July 5, 2015, I sent out a submission email about an article published at State of the Nation. The email about how Child Protective Services fails to protect children would be my last.

Screen Shot 2015-10-03 at 10.15.55 AM

From that date forward the Internet Police were watching me. An email with a BCC of more than five emails resulted in the following alert:

Message rejected. See https://support.google.com/mail/answer/69585 for more information.

I tried using a different address to send out an email submission about understanding the Secret to Understanding Child Protective Services.

Screen Shot 2015-10-03 at 10.23.03 AM

However after just 45 emails sent successfully I was right back where I started: Message rejected. See https://support.google.com/mail/answer/69585 for more information.

Here is the article the Internet Police don't want you to read. Please share with all of your friends.

The Secret to Understanding Family Law Courts, Law Enforcement and Child Protective Services (Part 1 & Part 2)

By Katherine Smith, Ph.D.

“What you have to understand, John, is that sometimes there are forces and events too big, too powerful, with so much at stake for other people or institutions, that you cannot do anything about them, no matter how evil or wrong they are and no matter how dedicated or sincere you are or how much evidence you have. This is simply one of the hard facts of life you have to face.”

Former CIA director and Cercle member William Colby giving advice to his friend senator John DeCamp, urging him to quit his investigations into the Franklin child abuse affair and to write a book about his experiences (The Franklin Coverup, 2nd edition, foreword Second Edition: First printing, December 1996).

Propaganda War on Russia in High Gear

October 4th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Propaganda wars precede hot ones - then continue once fighting starts. Putin is a master chess player, a patient one, a careful strategic planner.

He’s got Obama flummoxed, besting him at his own dirty game. He’s engaged in the war on terrorism in Syria Obama only pretends to wage, fighting Assad, not ISIS.

Putin’s commitment is real. The anti-Russian lying machine wants people to believe otherwise. Believe nothing US officials say or what go-along presstitutes report.

Their job is supporting imperial objectives, suppressing its most dangerous enemy - truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Obama v. Putin: Their Debate on Crimea The Source of the ‘New Cold War’: The Basic Disagreement Between Obama and Putin

October 3rd, 2015

Eric Zuesse, originally posted at strategic-culture.org

INTRODUCTIONv class="image_block">

The basic disagreement between U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the source of the economic sanctions against Russia, and ’the new cold war,’ concerns the question of whether the process by which Crimea separated from Ukraine and joined Russia was, as Obama says, “aggression” by Russia, an illegal “seizure” of Crimea by Russia; or, on the other hand, as Putin says, a thoroughly legal and democratic act by the people of Crimea, to exercise their right of self-determination, via a referendum.
