Turkey Concealed Its Oil Smuggling Complicit with ISIS

December 31st, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Russian UN envoy Vitaly Churkin accused Washington and Turkey of failing to inform the Security Council about ISIS trafficking in stolen Syrian and Iraqi oil.

It’s required under SC Res. 2199, unanimously passed in February 2015, requiring “Member States to take steps to prevent terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria from benefiting from trade in oil, antiquities and hostages, and from receiving donations.”

Churkin said Russia “got serious complaints” about SC Res. 2199 violations. “(T)he Americans had to provide (required) information, and of course Turkey…should have reported any illegal (oil and other banned) trade going on there. They didn’t do it.”“We've just been to the Pentagon and two several star generals were telling us about (US-led) coalition actions. I asked them a very simple question.”

“You've been flying there for a year. We’ve been there for two months and already provided many photos showing that oil is smuggled through the Turkish border.”

Turkish Whistleblower Faces Possible Treason Charge

December 31st, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Just societies would praise Turkish Republican People’s Party (CHP) opposition member Eren Erdem as a national hero.

Turkey under Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a fascist police state, one of the world’s vilest.

James Petras nailed him cold, explaining his “long and ignoble history of betraying political associates, trading partners and military allies; of pledging friendship and then bombing his ‘friends’ and murdering citizens; of negotiating ‘in good faith’ and then killing rivals; of playing democrat then behaving like an ordinary demagogic dictator.”

A Crisis Worse than ISIS? Bail-Ins Begin

December 30th, 2015

by Ellen Brown

While the mainstream media focus on ISIS extremists, a threat that has gone virtually unreported is that your life savings could be wiped out in a massive derivatives collapse. Bank bail-ins have begun in Europe, and the infrastructure is in place in the US. Poverty also kills.

At the end of November, an Italian pensioner hanged himself after his entire €100,000 savings were confiscated in a bank “rescue” scheme. He left a suicide note blaming the bank, where he had been a customer for 50 years and had invested in bank-issued bonds. But he might better have blamed the EU and the G20’s Financial Stability Board, which have imposed an “Orderly Resolution” regime that keeps insolvent banks afloat by confiscating the savings of investors and depositors. Some 130,000 shareholders and junior bond holders suffered losses in the “rescue.”

Chavismo Against GM Seed Contamination

December 30th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Genetically modified (GM) foods and ingredients are hazardous to human health. In America alone, virtually all processed foods contain them. Consumers don’t know what they’re eating because Congress prohibited labeling.

The danger is clear and unequivocal. Independent studies show serious potential health problems are linked to their consumption.

Bizarre Kerry Claim About US Not Seeking Regime Change in Syria

December 29th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Kerry made the comment during his Tuesday Moscow visit - at Washington’s request.

Both countries are unable to square the circle on their differing views on Syria, despite their diplomatic rhetoric suggesting otherwise.

Two major issues separate both sides. Washington won’t agree to recognize certain indisputable terrorist groups, including Jabhat al-Nusra, an Al Qaeda affiliate, responsible for gruesome atrocities against civilians.

Russia justifiably maintains they all must be called what they are, nations worldwide united against them.

Turkey Dumping Refugees It Was Bribed to Accept

December 29th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Turkey is a valued NATO member, a close US ally - a fascist police led by the Erdogan crime family, directly involved in Obama’s regional wars of aggression.

It was caught red-handed smuggling heavy and other weapons to ISIS and other terrorists in Syria along with supplying them with deadly sarin and other toxic agents to kill civilians, then wrongfully blame incidents on Assad.

Last month, the EU bribed Turkey with 3 billion euros and promised help to join the bloc in return for accepting refugees from Syria and other war-torn countries its member states don’t want.

EU leaders called the deal a key way to stem the tide of asylum-seekers. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said it marked a new beginning in Ankara/Brussels relations.

US Extends Anti-Russian Sanctions

December 28th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Analysts believing recent G20 sideline talks between Putin and Obama, followed by Kerry meeting Lavrov and Russia’s president in Moscow changed anything better think again.

Washington’s longstanding anti-Russian agenda remains unchanged - aiming to replace its sovereign independence with US-led Western puppet rule, what Moscow won’t ever tolerate.

The latest evidence of US intentions came Tuesday. A hostile US Treasury statement extended earlier illegally imposed sanctions.

Turkey’s Erdogan: Slave Trader

December 28th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Erdogan is an international criminal. His illicit activities are wide-ranging, perhaps involved in virtually all major internal illegal activities - including waging war on regional Kurds and complicity with ISIS.

Writing for the German publication Neues Deutschland, Roland Etzel said world leaders ignore his war on his own people.

“Erdogan expressed readiness to do a dirty job at the Syrian-Turkish border. His reward is Europe’s silence about Turkey’s crimes,” said Etzel.

They include:

training ISIS fighters on Turkish territory;

arming them with heavy weapons and munitions; supplying them with deadly sarin and other toxic agents;

More Evidence of Turkish Complicity with ISIS in Selling Stolen Oil

December 28th, 2015

By Stephen Lendman

Turkey is a pariah nation, a tyrannical crime syndicate masquerading as a nation-state, run by international outlaws.

Democracy is pure fantasy. None whatever exists. President Erdogan governs like a mafia godfather, intolerant of opposition and criticism.

Nothing of consequence goes on without his direct knowledge and approval. Various illicit activities let him, his family, and other top regime officials profit hugely.

His minions are involved with CIA agents and US special forces in training ISIS recruits on Turkish territory.

Their fighters move freely back and forth cross-border to Syria and Iraq. They’re regularly provided with arms, munitions and other supplies.

Turkish officials maintain the fiction of delivering humanitarian aid to so-called moderate rebels. No one can find them. They don’t exist.

IMF Chief Lagarde to Stand Trial

December 27th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Charges are unrelated to her greatest crimes - representing the US-controlled IMF and Western monied interests at the expense of beneficial social change.

The agency is a bandit operation, the loan shark lender of last resort, force-feeding economic and financial harshness on nations in return for loans - followed by new ones needed to pay debt service, an endless cycle of debt peonage, monied interests profiting hugely.

Ordinary people suffer greatly as expected. So do debt-entrapped countries, forced to obey harsh IMF diktats - incompatible with social democracy, civil and human rights.

Nations are strip-mined of their resources, material wealth, state enterprises, and other crown jewels - transferred from public to private hands, hollowed out into dystopian backwaters, their people able to have jobs transformed into serfs.
