Oil spill residue, Chenega, Alaska©1997James Macalpine-PIFWith the Gulf Coast dying of oil poisoning, there's no space in the press for British Petroleum's latest spill, just this week: over 100,000 gallons, at its Alaska pipeline operation. A hundred thousand used to be a lot. Still is.
On Tuesday, Pump Station 9, at Delta Junction on the 800-mile pipeline, busted. Thousands of barrels began spewing an explosive cocktail of hydrocarbons after "procedures weren't properly implemented" by BP operators, say state inspectors "Procedures weren't properly implemented" is, it seems, BP's company motto.
Few Americans know that BP owns the controlling stake in the trans-Alaska pipeline; but, unlike with the Deepwater Horizon, BP keeps its Limey name off the Big Pipe.
There's another reason to keep their name off the Pipe: their management of the pipe stinks. It's corroded, it's undermanned and "basic maintenance" is a term BP never heard of.

Wake up patriots. Voting is not the answer. Not in our corrupt system. But there is something else for US citizens. First they must understand the importance of the provision in Article V of their Constitution for a convention of state delegates that can propose constitutional amendments just like Congress. Then they must also learn that Congress has long refused to obey the Constitution and convene the first convention. Sounds a little nuts, but Congress has gotten away with it. Not that you need even more reason to have no confidence in Congress.
What can Americans do? They can join Friends of the Article V Convention, the only national nonpartisan group with the single mission of compelling Congress to call the first convention. This group has performed admirably to better inform Americans about the Article V convention option and, even more importantly, about the refusal by Congress to obey the Constitution, recognize over 700 applications from all 50 states for a convention, and act as required by their oath of office by convening the first convention. Even today more state legislators are calling for a convention. FOAVC has done what neither Congress or any other group has done; it has made state applications for a convention publicly available as well as countless other materials to broaden public support for a convention.

The European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza (ECESG), which is based in Brussels, has strongly condemned the Israeli Government’s decision to seize the eight vessels making up the “Freedom Flotilla” that is heading for Gaza Strip and to arrest all the more than 750 supporters onboard. ECESG views the decision as an escalation that will have grave consequences.
Anouar Gharbi, member of the campaign and president of the Swiss Rights for All Association, a member of the Freedom Flotilla coalition, said, “The Israeli party acts as if it is waging a military war against another army, particularly after orders have been issued from the political leadership to the military to intercept the Freedom Flotilla, and use force against it in order to prevent ist arrival to the shores of Gaza. He invited the international community to take action to protect the humanitarian international flotilla.

As BP's Black Death ocean floor oil gusher raises environmental havoc on the Gulf and eventually the East Coast ~ Patience is running out, Prosecution is demanded and Obama is MIA in this preposterous calamity.
Washington's unholy alliance with BIG Oil is now there for the world to see as witnessed by President Obama hands off approach to BP's arrogant negligence. Get this ~ BP still controls claims processing, environmental contractors on land and sea, volunteer assistance, access to the disaster site, and data collection and this is an obvious crime scene.

Casino Royale is the New York Stock Exchange. The Wall Street gang has invaded Washington and Obama is being held hostage by its ringleader, Goldman Sachs ~ who have highjacked his administration and will effectively prevent any true reform.
Let's get real ~ the high score trader culture has taken over Wall Street and the biggest trader in this freewheeling Casino Royale is Goldman Sachs ~ where the house always wins.

I have received a number of emails about the environmental impacts of the BP oil spill. The size of the spill and the impacts on wildlife in the Gulf of Mexico ecosystems have prompted a number of readers to write:
“Bob, it looks like you are right, the environmental damage and pollution are the goal and not the unintended consequences.”
Others have noted the irony that the leak is believed to have started on Earth Day, April 22, when the Deepwater Horizon sank. [1]

My dear elderly yet very vigorous friend has said about this disastrous oil spill, “BP has done more damage to harm the American homeland than al-Qaeda could ever do.” That indictment must be the greatest leveled at not only this largest British company but at the direct supervision and control that President Obama admitted of his own Administration in his press conference a few minutes ago.
Right from the start of this huge crisis, it has been an unmitigated disaster. The US government has finally admitted that between 19 and 39 million gallons of oil have been spilt – not what BP has been claiming of 5,000 barrels per day.

The new coalition in Westminster is parsing all the words about Afghanistan and coming up with a very different interpretation.
The movement to “get the troops out now!” has found unlikely converts in the form of the Conservative-Liberal Democratic coalition in Britain . The election campaign suggested nothing new could be expected from any of the parties on Afghanistan , despite the fact that over 70 per cent of Britons want the troops home.
So eyebrows were raised with the news that Afghan President Hamid Karzai was Prime Minister David Cameron’s first visitor at Chequers. They went higher still when Foreign Minister William Hague made his first foreign destination Kabul , where he called for the withdrawal of troops as soon as possible.

A 2007 UNESCO/Save the Children UK report titled, "Fragmented foundations: education and chronic crisis in the Occupied Palestinian Territory" addressed issues "in emergency and reconstruction situations, as well as in chronic conflict." It explained that in 1994, the Palestinian Authority established the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) with formal responsibility for the system, including planning, budgeting and coordination throughout the Territories.
Through at least 2007, it administered about three fourths of OPT schools, handled two-thirds of its students, and, as able, requires 10 years of basic education, two additional non-compulsory ones, then higher education for those qualified. See below.

Much analysis has been lately written in the Arab media about the assumed war between Arabs and Israel. Political analysts seek to conclude something of this talk about war, the optimists of them assume that the more noise about war the less it likely to happen. While the pessimists think it has become inevitable basing their view on the absence of any hope for political compromise. The retired generals interviewed on Arab TVs began to anticipate how and where the spark of the war will begin. And whether the war would be on one front or more, and how long it will last and what would be its political results.
