On Wednesday evening, November 2, 2011, Baltimore activists staged a demonstration reflecting their solidarity with the "Occupy Oakland" movement. The event was held at the "Occupy Baltimore" site at McKeldin Square, at Pratt and Lights Streets. The Baltimore chapter of the "Bail Out the People" organization led the action.

In Nice, France, the 20 most powerful nations will be meeting to discuss economic issues that have been plaguing the globe. At the meeting site protesters have started gathering to show their opposition. The demonstrations are planned to last for four days and will allow for protesters to speak out against globalization and capitalism. On Sunday morning, October 30, 2011, a rally and march was held in Baltimore City. It was led by the United Workers. The activists, many of whom had participated in the "Fair Development Conference," paraded, some in costumes, from Charles & Lombard Streets over to the "Occupy Baltimore" site at McKeldin Square. The theme of economic justice, with a "haunted harbor" echo that featured the "Poverty Busters," was spotlighted by the demonstrators.

On Wednesday Oct. 26, 2011, activists staged a protest action in "full Halloween spirit" at the headquarters of Constellation Energy aka "CE," which is located at 750 E. Pratt Street, in Baltimore, MD. The protesters raised their concerns about a number of issues, particularly, "Corporate Greed," and the planned merger of CE with Exelon. The demonstration was sponsored by the "Good Jobs Better Baltimore" group.

On Oct. 25, 2011, the City of Baltimore unilaterally declared Occupy Baltimore to be "illegal!" At around 9 AM, on Oct. 26th, I discussed this current situation with activist Joe Bert at McKeldin Square. Mr. Bert is part of the media team at the protest site.
