Solidarity Rally in Baltimore Spotlights Ferguson, MO

On Thursday evening, August 14th, in Baltimore, a spirited rally/protest was held in front of the Mitchell Court House. Its focus was on the recent police killing of an unarmed African-American teenager, Michael Brown, in the community of Ferguson, MO, just outside of St. Louis.
The controversial cases of local victims of police killings of unarmed African-Americans over the last ten years were also spotlighted at the protest action. A march from the court house to the city’s Police Headquarters followed the rally, where more speeches were given and a “National Call for a Moment of Silence” was held to show solidarity with all the victims and their families.
