The small earthquake that struck Yellowstone National Park on Thursday night was part of a swarm that has been hitting the area since Monday, scientists say. Yellowstone gets about 1,500 to 2,000 earthquakes every year. About half of those come in earthquake swarms — lots of earthquakes in a small area in a short amount of time.

Michigan’s attorney general has filed new, more serious charges of involuntary manslaughter against five officials in the Flint Water Crisis investigation, among them the head of Michigan’s health department. NASA is set to launch a rocket that will create colorful artificial clouds over the U.S. East Coast to study part of the Earth’s atmosphere. The clouds should be visible from New York down to North Carolina, and as far west as Charlottesville, Virginia.
