Francis Boyle wants him impeached. He urged doing so when Congress returns on September 9.
Last December, Boyle spoke at the Puerto Rican Summit Conference on Human Rights. US militarism threatens WW III, he said.
A century after earlier imperial aggressions, "neoconservative Republican Bush Junior administration and the neoliberal Democratic Obama administration are now threatening" global war, he said.
Britain, France, Germany and Israel Lie for Obama

Obama rages for more war. He intends more mass killing and destruction. Attacking Syria is virtually certain. It's just a matter of when.
It's likely shortly after Congress reconvenes on September 9. So-called token strikes conceal planned shock and awe.
Tomahawk cruise missiles usually carry 1,000 lb. warheads. Hundreds may be launched over several days.
Doing so will cause extensive destruction. Perhaps thousands will die. Many more will be injured. If damage assessment is insufficient, more strikes will follow. Bombs away is longstanding US policy. America's a killing machine. It's history is bloodstained. More lawless aggression is imminent. It's based on lies.

On April 6, 2009, Seymour Hersh headlined "Syria Calling," saying:
When Israel's December 2008/January 2009 Cast Lead war on Gaza ended, so did "promising peace talks between Israel and Syria."
For almost a year, both countries negotiated. They did so in Istanbul through intermediaries. Many complicated issues were resolved. Diplomatic normalization was agreed on in principle. At a mid-January Qatar summit, Assad called Israel's war "the language of blood." He wanted Arab League members to boycott Israel. He urged closing Israeli embassies throughout the region.
Obama's War on Syria Imminent

Obama's War on Syria: Dissent in the Ranks

On September 2, London's Daily Mail headlined " 'I didn't join the Navy to fight for al Qaeda in a Syrian civil war': Picture of serviceman goes viral... but is it real?"
More on that below. The Pentagon goes all out to avoid dissent in the ranks. It surfaced in Vietnam.
Until 1967, order was well maintained. After Tet in late January/February 1968, things changed. Mutinies forced the Pentagon to disguise them with language like "combat refusal."
Soldiers disobeyed orders. Most were search and destroy missions. They were put in harms way. They faced formidable enemies. At times, entire companies defied commanders. As fear of punishment faded, incidents mushroomed. So did fragging.

Damascus
The morning following President Obama’s announcement he would not bomb Syria immediately, the streets of Damascus were packed with shoppers and employees heading to their jobs. Several reasons for this were mentioned by my friend, Eyman. Some Damascenes who had fled their homes last week had returned, and a palpable sense of at least temporary relief pervades much of this capital city. It is also the first of the month. In Syria, government and other employees have just received their monthly paychecks and need to stock up on food, particularly now, upon entering this most uncertain month.
America's Intelligence Budget Black Hole

Post-9/11, US spy agencies "built an intelligence-gathering colossus. (It) remain(s) unable to provide critical information to the president on a range of national security threats, according to the government’s top-secret budget."
Its budget totals $52.6 billion for FY 2013. WaPo obtained it "from intelligence contractor Edward Snowden."
It discusses a "bureaucratic and operational landscape." It was never before subjected to public scrutiny.
It shows a dominant CIA role. It reveals significant cyberoperations. It discloses important knowledge gaps about targeted countries.
