A Plea For Mordechai Vanunu
As some of you may know, yesterday, March17 I had the extreme honor of interviewing on the Republic Broadcasting Network Mordechai Vanunu, Christian convert from Judaism who spent nearly 20 years in the hellhole of an Israeli prison for revealing the Jewish state's nuclear weapons program. Not accustomed to patting myself on the back, nevertheless I can say unequivocally that the 2 hour program was phenomenal, 99% of the kudos going to Vanunu himself whom I credit with being a modern day apostle.
I pleaded on the program for people to help him out with donations, as he has huge legal bills stemming from his recent trial involving his speaking with foreign journalists, which the 'free and democratic' state of Israel has forbade him from doing. In addition, he is going to court again this weekend EASTER SUNDAY to find out whether he will go to prison again for another 6 months.
Despite the fact that there have been hundreds of people going to the archived show and listening, as of yet, from what I understand there has been no money sent to him.
I am pleading with everyone on this list again to help this man. It doesn't have to be a million dollars, just a few bucks from everyone on this list would be enough to help him out immeasurably. I will embarrass myself by saying that I have 8 children, won't get a paycheck again for another 2 weeks and have $165.00 to live on between now and then and I am going to send him $5.00. If I can do this, certainly there are some of you out there who can do something. I know everyone is having a tough time these days with food and gas prices so high so don't assume that I am saying this in a nonchalant manner.
If you can't send him money, send him a letter of support. Sometimes just getting a kind word from someone is enough to carry someone over for a while.
