►Bush - Constitution 'Just A Goddamned Piece Of Paper'

By: Doug Thompson

Last month, Republican Congressional leaders filed into the Oval Office to meet with President George W. Bush and talk about renewing the controversial USA Patriot Act.

Several provisions of the act, passed in the shell shocked period immediately following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, caused enough anger that liberal groups like the American Civil Liberties Union had joined forces with prominent conservatives like Phyllis Schlafly and Bob Barr to oppose renewal.

GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous provisions of the act could further alienate conservatives still mad at the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

"I don't give a goddamn," Bush retorted. "I'm the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way."

"Mr. President," one aide in the meeting said. "There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution."

"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face," Bush screamed back. "It's just a goddamned piece of paper!"

I've talked to three people present for the meeting that day and they all confirm that the President of the United States called the Constitution "a goddamned piece of paper."

And, to the Bush Administration, the Constitution of the United States is little more than toilet paper stained from all the shit that this group of power-mad despots have dumped on the freedoms that "goddamned piece of paper" used to guarantee.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, while still White House counsel, wrote that the "Constitution is an outdated document."

Put aside, for a moment, political affiliation or personal beliefs. It doesn't matter if you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent. It doesn't matter if you support the invasion or Iraq or not. Despite our differences, the Constitution has stood for two centuries as the defining document of our government, the final source to determine in the end if something is legal or right.

Every federal official including the President who takes an oath of office swears to "uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia says he cringes when someone calls the Constitution a "living document."

""Oh, how I hate the phrase we have-a 'living document,'" Scalia says. "We now have a Constitution that means whatever we want it to mean. The Constitution is not a living organism, for Pete's sake."

As a judge, Scalia says, "I don't have to prove that the Constitution is perfect; I just have to prove that it's better than anything else."

President Bush has proposed seven amendments to the Constitution over the last five years, including a controversial amendment to define marriage as a "union between a man and woman." Members of Congress have proposed some 11,000 amendments over the last decade, ranging from repeal of the right to bear arms to a Constitutional ban on abortion.

Scalia says the danger of tinkering with the Constitution comes from a loss of rights.

"We can take away rights just as we can grant new ones," Scalia warns. "Don't think that it's a one-way street."

And don't buy the White House hype that the USA Patriot Act is a necessary tool to fight terrorism. It is a dangerous law that infringes on the rights of every American citizen and, as one brave aide told President Bush, something that undermines the Constitution of the United States.

But why should Bush care? After all, the Constitution is just "a goddamned piece of paper."

There is no historic parallel that can be drawn, nothing compares with the Bush family. No dictator or tyrant, can equal their accomplishments in shear magnitude of suffering and destruction, as they are not mere tyrants themselves, but the makers and breakers of tyrants, the organizers and profiteers of war and death. Since 1915 The Bush family has been involved in world war One and Two, the Korean war, the Vietnam war, numerous CIA secret wars, the Gulf War, and now a “Never ending War”. The past four generations of this one family have had a hand in promoting and profiting from much of the war and death that has occurred on this earth since the beginning of the industrialized age.

The latest member of the Bush family to be placed in power has proudly admitted that it was a tough decision for him to kill some 30,000 of the Iraqi people, while human rights organizations have counted over 98,000 Iraqi men, women, and children, that George W. Bush has mass murdered.

Look out friends and neighbors because he's just getting started. The Bush gang is about to renew the USA Patriot Act, and extend their police-state powers over the American people. The regime's latest attack on Constitutional rights is not directed at the terrorists, but at ordinary citizens.

Essentially the Bushites want to create a totalitarian corporate fascist police state completely enslaving and grinding the American people into total subservience to their corporate masters. The regime's Orwellian vision of America's future is the diametric opposite of freedom.

The Bush gang is dealing with a free people who have been taught all of their lives that they have, ‘certain inalienable rights’. This makes the regime's monstrous plan more difficult to carry out. To strip the American people of their Constitutional rights and Civil rights and rights to privacy which they presently enjoy could cause Americans to organize and resist even as the noose of slavery and repression is tightened around their necks.

The Bushites realize that some Americans may not go willingly into bondage, and this is the real reason for their Patriot Act. The recent push to make the Patriot Act permanent and extend many of its traitorous and unconstitutional provisions is a frightening indication that the Neocons want to accelerate their plan. It looks like the 'Judas goat' politicians are leading the America people to the slaughter, and the Patriot Act will ultimately be used to crush all Americans who dare to resist.

Dear. Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi,

Below is from the United states Constitution Article III Section 3 Treason:

Scott McClellan has clearly verbalized and documented clause 1 as a witness to Treason commited by George W. Bush. He is also the same person that commuted Irwin Lewis Libby the United States President George W. Bush concerning the same incedent witnessed by Scott McClellan . In hearings United States v. Libby, the jury convicted Libby on four of the five counts in the indictment: one count of obstruction of justice; two counts of perjury; and one count of making false statements to federal investigators. Scott McClellan has placed George W.Bush on to the steps of the United States Congress for a Impeacment hearing on treason charges this congress has no more excuses.

From The United States Constitution
Article III: The Judicial Branch
Section 3

Clause 1:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

Clause 2: The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Thank you,

All you people that bought the United States government version of 9/11 they just changed the facts of the story again.

On 7th Anniversary Of Attacks, White House Claims Bin Laden Was Not The ‘Mastermind’ of Sept. 11

Tomorrow marks the seventh anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. In a press conference today, a reporter asked White House Press Secretary Dana Perino about the administration’s ongoing efforts to find Osama bin Laden, calling him the “mastermind” of 9/11. Perino interrupted the reporter, claiming bin Laden was not the true “mastermind” of the attacks:

Q But Osama bin Laden is the one that — you keep talking about his lieutenants, and, yes, they are very important, but Osama bin Laden was the mastermind of 9/11 –

PERINO: No, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the mastermind of 9/11, and he’s sitting in jail right now.

The deregulation TAX brought to you by the Republicans.

$3.33 x 365 = $1215.45 a year for every single person for their entire life. After THIS BAIL OUT it will go up at least 20% or 0.80/$3.33 = $4.1625 a day. You can actually double that number $8.325 a day for the people that really pay the taxes factoring out children, disabled and the people that can not pay it. The cost of the Iraq war is still off the books you will need to add another $1.11 a day TAX to that disaster.
