The Terror that begot Israel
Khalid Amayreh

• “We committed Nazi acts.” - Aharon Zisling, Israel’s first Agriculture Minister
• “There is no doubt that many sexual atrocities were committed by the attacking Jews. Many young (Arab) girls were raped and later slaughtered. Old women were also molested.” - General Richard Catling, British Army Assistant Inspector after interrogating several female survivors (The Palestinian Catastrophe, Michael Palumbo, 1987)
As the evil state of Israel is celebrating sixty years of ethnic cleansing and atrocities against the native Palestinians, many people around the world, especially young generations, will not be fully aware of the manner in which Israel came into existence.

The Vatican must show good will toward Muslims
Khalid Amayreh in Occupied East Jerusalem

The highly-publicized conversion to Catholicism of a naturalized Italian citizen of Egyptian origin this week once again illustrates the uneasy relations between Islam and western Christianity.
The problem, of course, doesn’t lie in the conversion itself. People after all should be free to choose their faith and way of life without coercion. The Quran itself declares that “let there be no compulsion in religion.” The way Muslims ought to relate to disbelievers is engraved in Sura (or chapter) 9 of Islam’s holy scriptures, which reads:

The Money Changers: The Federal Reserve, Robbery By Deceit
Fahim A. Knight

Keeping It Real
The entire planet has been shammed by a minority one percent (1%) of the population who are far worst than Frank James and Jesse James two “infamous” bank robbers and outlaws or any other criminals we can name in world history, but at least we understood these stickup boys made it known to the victims that they were out to steal the money. They left no doubt their motive was strong arm robbery. The Federal Reserve System is truly a shadow government that operates outside the legal jurisdictional, democratic and Constitutional parameter upon which America was founded. The citizenry of this nation should be up in arms and outraged that this cartel of twelve Central Banks (that function invisible without boundaries) which are privately owned with no federal United States affiliation attached. This illegal cartel has the authority (power) to determine national, and international currencies values and ultimately the entire world is under their pulse and dictates. (Reference: “The World Order: It Will Change the Way You live” by Pat Roberson).

Sixty Years of Bloodshed, Treachery and Terror

I am probably as tired of writing about Israel as you are hearing about it. However, today is supposed to be the big day when Ben Gurion declared Israel’s independence. I don’t know why he declared independence because there was no Israel to liberate from whatever forces of darkness they conjured out of their manipulated histories. But declare he did and today we celebrate 60 years of genocide against the Palestinian people who were living on the land- and had been for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years- and whom they murdered, exiled and slandered without pause until this day. In the process they wiped out all signs of Palestinian occupancy and changed the names of all of the towns.

The need leads to extreme creativity!
Najwa Sheikh

Despite the ugly reality of Gaza these days, I love its spring; I used to love it, and always give me a sign of hope that things would be better. Watching the trees blossoming in the spring time, smelling the nice perfumes it sends make me feel better, I loved walking in the streets where there were trees so I can watch the different kinds of blossoms, especially those of the orange, lemon, almond, and Jasmine trees were a treasure for me.

Dr Manuel Hassassian
Palstine Think Tank
Atzmon’s report of the Nakba commemoration event
Something positive is happening, I would even call it a shift of awareness, a realisation that the Palestinian struggle is leading somewhere after all.
Yesterday, at Exeter University, to a very crowded theatre, in an event of that was a commemoration of 60 years of the Nakba, I had a chance to listen to Dr Manuel Hassassian, the Palestinian Ambassador to Britain. I may as well say it, Palestinian eloquence cheers me up and fills me with hope and pride and Dr Hassassian has plenty of it.

Guilty Of Being Palestinian
Mohammed Omer

“Olmert, I Want My Daddy!”
Desert Peace
Stretching her short arms above her head while balancing on a chair, 7-year-old Jumana Abu Jazar struggles to loop the picture wire around a rusty nail protruding from the wall. Shifting her weight, she spoke, her delicate voice amplified as it bounced off the wall.
“My mother died and I have no brothers and sisters,” she stated matter-of-factly, biting her lower lip and cocking her head to match the picture’s tilt. “My father is in jail, in an Israeli jail where he is forced to live in a dark cell.”
She paused for a moment to inspect her handiwork, caressing an embroidered pendant hanging around her neck, a gift her father made her.
“I saw my daddy once,” she chimed, satisfied she had hung the picture of her father straight. Kissing it lightly, she continued, “But now I can’t see my daddy for security reasons.”
Her eyes clouded over and her voice sank into a puzzled whisper.
“When I go to see him,” she repeated in semi-disbelief, “I’m always denied for security reasons.”

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper recently made outrageously ignorant comments on the plight of the Palestinian people.
He claimed that criticism of and opposition to the Israeli policies of ethnic cleansing and apartheid against the Palestinian people amounted to “anti-Semitism.”

So who 'won' ?
Eric Walberg

So who ‘won’? There appear to be no winners in Serbia ’s recent elections.
Sunday’s elections in Serbia are being hailed as a victory for Europe , a defeat for the “ultra-nationalist” Tomislav Nikolic and his Radical Party. But the “For a European Serbia” alliance of President Boris Tadic’s Democratic Party, the G17-Plus and three smaller liberal parties, over the Radical Party, the New Serbia Party and outgoing Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica’s Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) does not bode well for anyone, including Europe. This will be another hung parliament.

Israel’s 60 years of nuclear proliferation
Jerry Mazza

Dimona -the Israeli nuclear plant
Online Journal
Perhaps it began before 1948, when Israel and Palestine were partitioned by the UN into two separate but equal states. Perhaps the nuclear notion occurred to David Ben-Gurion and friends in 1945, as they observed two atomic bombs dropped by the US on the Empire of Japan (mostly civilian populations) to end WW II. In fact, the nuclear solution brought about an immediate surrender.

Rapists are the scum of the earth. Anyone who aggressively invades another person's body, permanently scarring the victim's psyche, deserves the maximum ethical justice. Whether on the spot or in a court of law, that justice should be firm and expedient. Too often that is not the case. Some rapists never pay for their crimes, no matter how many times they've been caught in the act. Those serial offenders are known as governments.

Life feeds on itself and how you think and feel about what you eat has a great deal to do with its impact on you.

Bugliosi: George W. Bush Should be Tried for Mass Murder

It has been my position for yeas that George W. Bush should be prosecuted for various capital crimes, not the least of which are the deaths following from his wars of naked aggression in Afghanistan and Iraq. [See: US Codes, Title 18, Section 2441] I have urged that a Federal Grand jury bring indictments against George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Condo Rice, Don Rumsfeld and numerous other co-conspirators, accomplices and accessories-after-the fact.

12 Stepping Our Way to Armageddon
Carolyn Baker

"The end of everything we call life is close at hand and cannot be evaded." - H.G. Wells, 1946
I recently received an email from a reader, frustrated with my insistence on holding a vision of what is possible alongside the dismal, inevitable current realities of civilization's collapse. Admonishing me to bear in mind America's Oprah and NASCAR world view and therefore abdicate any sense of optimism I might have, this reader accused me of suggesting that we should 12 Step our way through Armageddon. Rather than being offended, however, I was overcome with gratitude for this reader's image, frustrated with me as he may be, because in spite of the regular "wordsmithing" that I do as a writer, I always feel a sense of relief and validation when someone else gives words that I may not yet have for what I've been thinking, feeling, or doing.

Obama built up his insurmountable lead over Clinton because he was the only candidate for the No More Wars For The Jews Party. Clinton had been able to build a tiny bit of momentum after Pennsylvania. Why then did she court disaster by reminding the voters of North Carolina and Indiana that she was the candidate for the More Wars For The Jews Party by raising the issue of the obliteration of Iran? Suddenly, Americans were reminded of why Obama built up his big lead.
