Video: Ms. Gabriela Bulisova on the Iraqi Refugee Crisis

On April 30. 2008, a photo exhibit highlighting the desperate seriousness of the Iraqi Refugee Crisis was held on Capitol Hill. Ms. Gabriela Bulisova photographed the refugees at sites she recently visited in both Iraq and Syria. She was also one of the speakers at the event, which was sponsored by Refugees International, among other groups, and was held in room 2220 of the House Rayburn Building. For background on the Iraqi Refugee Crisis, a massive humanitarian disaster involving an estimated 4 million people, please go to: http://www.refugeesinternational.org, and check out its report, "Uprooted and Unstable: Meeting Urgent Humanitarian Needs in Iraq;" and also read the report, "Five Years Later, A Hidden Crisis," which can be found at: http://www.theirc.org/special-report/iraqi-refugee-crisis... Co-hosting the event with Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL), were Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) and Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA).
