Stop the War: Invest in America

On April 24, 2008, an anti-Iraq War rally was held in Baltimore City, at the War Memorial, directly opposite of City Hall. It was sponsored by , Progressive Maryland, and other pro-Peace groups. The activists advocated ending the costly Iraq conflict and to begin using those funds to restore the domestic economy, which is now in a recession. They unveiled a new report on the war and its harmful effects on the economy; and also presented a new poll, which showed that a majority of Marylanders want “to stop wasting billions of dollars on the Iraq war.” For more background, go to: http://www.pol.moveon.org and http://www.progressivemaryland.org.
