On Jan. 25, 2008, at 10 AM, a press conference was held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Its purpose was “to launch a campaign to end the Israeli siege and blockade of Gaza,” according to a press release from the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation (MAS Freedom). Speaking at the press conference, inter alia, were the Rev. Graylan S. Hagler, Senior Minister, Plymouth Congregational Church, Washington, D.C. and Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, Esq., Partnership for Civil Justice. Later in the day at 4 PM, a rally and demonstration is scheduled in front of the Embassy of Israel, in Washington, D.C.
