On Jan. 25, 2008, at 10 AM, a press conference was held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Its purpose was “to launch a campaign to end the Israeli siege and blockade of Gaza,” according to a press release from the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation (MAS Freedom). Speaking at the press conference, inter alia, were Art Laffin, Organizer, Catholic Worker Community, Washington, D.C. and Ibrahim Abdil-Mul’id Ramey, MAS Freedom Civil and Human Rights Director. Later in the day, at 4 PM, a rally and demonstration is scheduled in front of the Embassy of Israel, in Washington, D.C.
