September 15 2005 As someone who was among the founders of ‘Yesh Gvul’ I was delighted by the issuing of the arrest warrant in England against General (Res.) Doron Almog for war crimes committed when he was the commander of the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip. His reluctance to leave the aircraft in order to avoid an investigation is clearly understandable. He obviously has something to hide. The Supreme Court’s refusal to deal with Yesh Gvul’s petition, initiated by my friend, Yoav Hess, and related to the dropping of the one ton bomb on a densely populated area of Gaza that caused the killing of 15 innocent people, most of them children and the wounding of hundreds, does not leave any option but to appeal to foreign legal authorities.
