December 31, 2002 We'll come to Tennessee's pussy hunter shortly, but first a word about his predecessor as Senate majority leader, that bruised son of Mississippi, Trent Lott. How was Lott finally induced to quit the post he loved so much, and from which vantage point he was able to guide so many millions to public works to his home state?
March 25, 2004 Allies say warnings were ignored ONE of al-Qaeda’s most dangerous figures has been revealed as a double agent working for MI5, raising criticism from European governments, which repeatedly called for his arrest.

September 15 2005 As someone who was among the founders of ‘Yesh Gvul’ I was delighted by the issuing of the arrest warrant in England against General (Res.) Doron Almog for war crimes committed when he was the commander of the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip. His reluctance to leave the aircraft in order to avoid an investigation is clearly understandable. He obviously has something to hide. The Supreme Court’s refusal to deal with Yesh Gvul’s petition, initiated by my friend, Yoav Hess, and related to the dropping of the one ton bomb on a densely populated area of Gaza that caused the killing of 15 innocent people, most of them children and the wounding of hundreds, does not leave any option but to appeal to foreign legal authorities.
September 21, 2005 US soldiers trade grisly photos of dead and mutilated Iraqis for access to amateur porn. The press is strangely silent. If you want to see the true face of war, go to the amateur porn Web site NowThatsFuckedUp.com. For almost a year, American soldiers stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan have been taking photographs of dead bodies, many of them horribly mutilated or blown to pieces, and sending them to Web site administrator Chris Wilson. In return for letting him post these images, Wilson gives the soldiers free access to his site. American soldiers have been using the pictures of disfigured Iraqi corpses as currency to buy pornography.

September 15, 2005 DIEB-THROAT : 'Diebold System One of Greatest Threats Democracy Has Ever Known' Identifies U.S. Homeland Security 'Cyber Alert' Prior to '04 Election Warning Votes Can be 'Modified Remotely' via 'Undocumented Backdoor' in Central Tabulator Software! "Diebold Insider" is now finally speaking out for the first time about the alarming security flaws within Diebold, Inc's electronic voting systems, software and machinery. The source is acknowledging that the company's "upper management" -- as well as "top government officials" -- were keenly aware of the "undocumented backdoor" in Diebold's main "GEM Central Tabulator" software well prior to the 2004 election.

September 20, 2001 The Crisis of Democracy and the Quest for Empire. The president of the United States has committed his country to goals that will require world hegemony, not to say supremacy. In numerous speeches and statements since September 2001, President Bush has vowed to wage an exhaustive, final war on terror and to advance the cause of a better world. ‘‘Our responsibility to history is clear: to answer these attacks and rid the world of evil.’’1 In the president’s opinion, the United States represents universal principles. He summarizes them in the word ‘‘freedom.’’
September 15, 2005 Estigarribia Military Base in Paraguay, © ClarinControversy is raging in Paraguay, where the U.S. military is conducting secretive operations. 500 U.S. troops arrived in the country on July 1st with planes, weapons and ammunition. Eyewitness reports prove that an airbase exists in Mariscal Estigarribia, Paraguay, which is 200 kilometers from the border with Bolivia and may be utilized by the U.S. military. Officials in Paraguay claim the military operations are routine humanitarian efforts and deny that any plans are underway for a U.S. base. Yet human rights groups in the area are deeply worried. White House officials are using rhetoric about terrorist threats in the tri-border region (where Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina meet) in order to build their case for military operations, in many ways reminiscent to the build up to the invasion of Iraq.

September 14, 2005 The United Nations is reportedly planning to investigate the use of Shannon Airport by the US military as part of the Bush administration's "war on terrorism". Reports this morning said the Government's decision to allow the US to use the airport would be scrutinised as part of an inquiry into the alleged torture of suspected Islamic militants.
September 3rd, 2005 Microsoft is on track to outsource more than 1,000 jobs a year to China, according to blistering evidence released yesterday in Microsoft's increasingly nasty spat with Google over an employee who jumped ship in July. In a revelation that highlights the complexity of China President Hu Jintao's visit to Seattle and Microsoft on Monday, legal filings detailed claims of how Microsoft had offended the Chinese government by not outsourcing as many jobs as promised to Chinese technology vendors.

May 1998 I write this article for the same reason I wrote my book: to tell the American people, and especially American Jews, that Jews from Islamic lands did not emigrate willingly to Israel; that, to force them to leave, Jews killed Jews; and that, to buy time to confiscate ever more Arab lands, Jews on numerous occasions rejected genuine peace initiatives from their Arab neighbors.
I write about what the first prime minister of Israel called “cruel Zionism.”
I write about it because I was part of it.

September 12, 2005 Apparently, some of the world's largest automakers were listening when California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced that he had a dream of a "hydrogen highway" running through his state and beyond. Last week, General Motors, Honda and BMW acknowledged that they would each be producing small runs of hydrogen-powered fuel cell cars for California's roads within five years. Analysts expect most of the initial production models, probably numbering in the hundreds of vehicles statewide, to be used as part of public and municipal fleets.

September 13, 2005 The recent pattern of American violations of international law are ultimately based in the corruption of the USA domestic legal system. Phony USA courts are very dangerous even for travellers and visitors to America, who can easily wind up among the USA's more than 2 million prisoners, or lose all their family's possessions to corrupt American lawyers. All world citizens should know how the corrupt USA legal system, is a danger to every traveller, visitor, and guest worker from overseas, and to every individual who takes the risky step of entering upon American territory. Just ask the overseas families of prisoners who were put to death inside the USA, with their embassies never even being informed that they were arrested - or the many foreign people serving hugely long prison terms in America, after they were jailed on flimsy tainted "evidence" from criminal snitches. The reality is that the United States of America, which proclaims itself the "land of freedom", has the most dishonest, dangerous and crooked legal system of any developed nation. Legal corruption is covering America like a blanket.

August 31, 2005 “I know I’m risking my life in allowing you to interview me; but I’m aware there is an operational grand jury and indictments regarding the White House, so now is the time. I‘m tired of knowing all the details and perpetrators of the murder of an innocent and good man without seeing justice. September 5, 2005 The devastation and human toll of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath is beyond words, and it is worsening. To say the Bush administration non-response is an international disgrace is putting it so mildly, it is grotesquely insulting. It may also be missing the point. What the world already knows is that the Bush administration withheld funding and hampered disaster preparation, failed to aid rescue and relief efforts, and waited four days to even begin to get barely adequate supplies to victims.

Sept. 1, 2005 NOAA hurricane hunter WP-3D Orion and Gulfstream IV aircraft conducted ten long flights into and around the eye of Hurricane Katrina. Lt. Mike Silah, a P-3 pilot, got to see Hurricane Katrina up close and personal, especially when she was an extremely dangerous Category Five storm in the Gulf of Mexico. The day before the powerful and destructive storm made landfall on the USA Gulf Coast, Silah snapped a series of images capturing the eyewall of Katrina.
January 31, 2005 The core Andean states -- Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru -- form the most politically unstable region in South America today. Political instability is no stranger to the Andes -- the three states in the heart of the mountains have long histories of veering from military rule to authoritarian and quasi-democratic civilian governments.
August 1, 2005 The U.S. military is conducting secretive operations in Paraguay and reportedly building a new base there. Human rights groups and military analysts in the region believe trouble is brewing. However, the U.S. embassy in Paraguay denies the base exists and describes the military activity as routine. According to an article in the Bolivian newspaper, El Deber, a U.S. base is being developed in Mariscal Estigarribia, Paraguay, 200 kilometers from the border with Bolivia. The base will permit the landing of large aircraft and is capable of housing up to 16,000 troops. A contingent of 500 U.S. troops arrived in Paraguay on July 1st with planes, weapons, equipment and ammunition.
August 28, 2005 Long sought after base acquired after closed door meeting, with neither debate nor public input. Highlights of the deal with the politicians representing the second most corrupted nation on Earth include impunity for the heavily armed US troops, and teaching of Paraguayan forces Fort Benning's School of the Americas style terror tactics.

August 31st, 2005 Paraguay’s President Says There Will Be No U.S. Military Base in His Country. Paraguayan President Nicanor Duarte on Tuesday denied published reports that his country plans to authorize the installation of a U.S. military base in its territory. “There will be no North American military base nor other installation with that characteristic, because we are a sovereign country,” Duarte said during a joint press conference with Chilean President Ricardo Lagos in the first day of a two-day visit to Chile. ”
September 3, 2005 KARACHI - Drug smugglers call it the golden route: from Afghanistan into Pakistan and then into eastern Iran, it's the trail that takes Afghanistan's abundant opium, and its derivative, heroin, to Western markets. And all along the way there is strong political compromise in which officials turn a blind eye to the players visibly plying the notorious route, and at each stage the commissions get bigger.

Appraising the cabal of neo-con Straussians running the Bush administration, Finkelstein suggests they use their political mensch, Machiavelli, as ideological babble to cover their single interest, power. August 2002 The Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz reported in May (5/31/02) that the Israel Broadcasting Authority, at the behest of a member of the Israeli cabinet, has directed its editorial departments not to use the terms "settlers" or "settlements" on radio or TV. According to Ha'aretz, "it is not clear if the editors will obey the order." What does seem clear is that settlements--housing built on land illegally seized by Israel after the 1967 war--are such a contentious issue within Israel that the Israeli government would like to stop reporters from even saying the word.
