Outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says Israel will have to leave the occupied territories and return the West Bank and Gaza to the Palestinians. In an interview published Monday in the daily Yediot Ahronot, Olmert, who resigned on September 21 and currently heads a transitional government, said that the peace process requires that Israel to withdraw from almost all the territories occupied in 1967, including East al-Quds (Jerusalem).
