Wash. rampage suspect in court: 'I kill for God'

"I kill for God. I listen to God," a man accused of a northwest Washington shooting rampage said Friday at a hearing where six charges of first-degree murder and four of first-degree assault were filed against him. Isaac Zamora made the chilling comment twice at the brief hearing in Skagit County District Court while investigators wrapped up their work at eight crime scenes. The 28-year-old is being held on $5 million bail in the wake of Tuesday's rampage, which left six people dead and four injured. District Court Judge Warren Gilbert read each charge and the penalties, which carry a maximum sentence of life in prison. That doesn't mean the death penalty is off the table, according to the Skagit County prosecutor. This is not the first lunatic who's killing people for God -George W. Bush believes that God told him to smite Afghanistan [and he did]; and [that] God [then] told him to smite Iraq, [and he did]. Now God is apparently telling him that 650,000 dead Iraqis and thousands of dead Americans aren't enough; we must "stay the course" (presumably because God is telling him so). The Onion makes sense of it all: Voice Of God Revealed To Be Cheney On Intercom: "Telephone logs recorded by the National Security Agency and obtained by Congress as part of an ongoing investigation suggest that the vice president may have used the Oval Office intercom system to address President Bush at crucial moments, giving categorical directives in a voice the president believed to be that of God… In a transcript of an intercom exchange recorded in March 2002, a voice positively identified as the vice president’s identifies himself as “the Lord thy God” and promotes the invasion of Iraq, as well as the use of torture in prisoner interrogations. .. longtime friend of Cheney was asked to comment on the vice president’s possible subterfuge… “I do know that Mr. Bush was unfamiliar with a phone-based intercom, and I suppose it is possible that Dick took advantage of that.”" -WHICH brings us to Mr. McCain: Would conservative Christians be happier with McCain if this was his message? -"Today Christians ... stand at the head of [this country]... I pledge that I never will tie myself to parties who want to destroy Christianity .. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit ... We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theater, and in the press - in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess during the past ... (few) years." It worked for the politician who said it. -Yes, a..d..o..l..f, WHO undoubtedly would have been more than happy to avail himself of the services of Alaska's shooting star: Palin: ‘Pray That’ Our Leaders Are Sending Our Troops to Iraq ‘On a Task From God’: “Pray for our military. He [Palin's son] is going to be deployed in September to Iraq – pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right for this country – that our leaders, our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God, that’s what he have to make sure we are praying for, that there is a plan and that it is God’s plan.” [VIDEO (about 6 min into the clip)] The only conclusion possible is that retail murder is a no-no but that wholesale ditto is OK. Well, what about 911? (3000) And Iraq? (650.000+) -We're supposed to think 911 was bad because we were attacked, and that Iraq's ok because they're not Americans. WHICH would lead one to conclude that there's a racist element at work here. The Alaskans would wholeheartedly agree: Alaskans Speak (In A Frightened Whisper): Palin Is “Racist, Sexist, Vindictive, And Mean”. -They Should Know!
