State of emergency lifted in Ossetia

The state of emergency imposed in South Ossetia since the end of hostilities has been lifted. Life in the republic is gradually returning to normal as thousands of refugees make their way home. Russian emergency teams have almost fully restored public utilities in the region. RIA Novosty: Russian pullback continues in South Ossetia. + Georgia has lost S.Ossetia peacekeeping rights - Russian military.
