Bush - ‘Expect 50 Years of War in Iraq’

As usual, the cold hard truth comes out: President Bush envisions a long-term U.S. troop presence in Iraq similar to the one in South Korea where American forces have helped keep an uneasy peace for more than 50 years, the White House said Wednesday. These bastards must be tried and convicted for high crimes against the people of the United States of America. -Not so fast! The Ziocons and Mr. Bush will have to answer to the peoples of Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine first. Next they will have to answer for their betrayal of the Constitution. The American people comes last because it is to a great extent responsible for the horrendous crimes of the Ziocons, because it was sleeping instead of protecting the Constitution of the United States of America.

Saudi prisoner 'commits suicide' at Guantanamo

The military did not indicate how the prisoner died. He is the fourth detainee to die of "apparent suicide" at the detention camp, which opened in January 2002 and holds about 380 foreign "terrorist suspects" on the US naval base in southeastern Cuba. Who knows what really happened? Maybe they just killed him because he knew too much, maybe some of their Mengele experiments failed...or maybe one of the soldiers went just a little too far..."The remains of the deceased detainee are being treated with the utmost respect. A cultural adviser is assisting the Joint Task Force to ensure that the remains are handled in a culturally sensitive and religiously appropriate manner," the Southern Command said. Their hypocrisy and dishonesty are beyond words! -You obviously have to be dead to make them talk like this. They certainly don't treat you with "the utmost respect" when you're caged like an animal in that godforsaken place!

ACLU suit alleges firm is profiting from torture

Spy killing suspect: Britain involved in plot

The Russian businessman accused of killing former KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko here last year denied any involvement on Thursday and said that British intelligence was likely to blame for the murder, perhaps because Litvineko was working with British agents and talking too much to others about it. TimesOnline: British secret service involved in Litvinenko killing, says suspect BBC: Excerpts: Lugovoi news conference There's no way the Brits can win this game. -On level one, that is. And they know it. The reason they are making all this noise is that they have started a propaganda operation to convince the British public that their (minor) European nation has an enemy: the Russian bear, Ivan the Terrible -Putin, basically. They want the public to perceive him a cunning and evil bastard. The Great Menace. And tiny, plucky Albion is the only one capable of standing up to this enormous threat to the civilized world. -This would be ridiculous, if not for the fact that perception is everything. And perception can be managed. And they ARE managing it! Britain is on the fast track to fascism. People management under this scourge needs an enemy. There it is.

Militias act with impunity, despite US troop surge

The raid on the Finance Ministry in Baghdad by 40 policemen in 19 vehicles who calmly cordoned off the street in front of the building before abducting five Britons shows how little has changed in the Iraqi capital despite US reinforcements and a new insecurity plan. The militia activity is not despite the US troop surge. -Basically not even because of the surge. In fact, the increased militia activity is the surge. The troops are exhausted and have come up short in this hostile environment. The hired corporate killers from Blackwater etc. are taking over. Their cruelty and barbarity know no bounds. American attempt to patent yoga puts Indians in a twist

For millions around the world yoga is a source of relaxation and spiritual sustenance. Not so for the Indian Government, which has worked itself into a furious twist over efforts by American entrepreneurs – including an Indian-born celebrity “yogi” – to patent the ancient practice. Indian officials announced yesterday that they would lodge official complaints with US authorities over hundreds of yoga-related patents, copyrights and trademarks that have been issued in recent years. “How can you patent yoga – something that has been in the public domain for thousands of years?” said Verghese Samuel, joint secretary of the Ministry of Health department for yoga and other traditional practices. “It’s a ridiculous decision,” he told The Times. “We’ll have to challenge it. We’ve already started the process.” One is reminded of the great Native American Chief Seattle's thoughts: "How can you buy or sell the sky, the warmth of the land? The idea is strange to us. If we do not own the freshness of the air and the sparkle of the water, how can you buy them?" We all know that the greedy governments in Washington didn't stop and ponder this timeless Native American wisdom. Now corporate America and the world's financial elite basically want to patent planet Earth itself and and all human activity. After Bhopal, the Indians have had enough of these ruthless and greedy globalists. They have a right to our support.

White tigers - the colour is caused by an unusual genetic combination - are rare in the wild, although there are several dozen in zoos. Odin was hand-raised at the zoo. Will Bush walk away in 2009?

Obviously, the Democratic Party has chosen to be an impotent, faux-opposition party in this bad theater they call "The Two Party System".
