Our Mission at thepeoplesvoice.org

Americans in Portland, Oregon, assembled in the thousands to stand in peaceful protest against George W. Bush. They were clubbed, arrested, and hosed down with pepper spray by riot police. This grandmother being choked with a nightstick
thought she had constitutional rights.

Mission: The mission of peoplesvoice.org is two fold:

► To inform the public about news and information, often missing from the corporate media.

► To provide people with a way of expressing their views publicly concerning issues that effect the quality of life, our freedoms, and our environment. Other areas of interest also include, but are not limited to articles about; politics, human rights, economic, democratic, scientific, and social justice issues.

Message: Unless the people stand together and take back their country from those who have stolen it, their freedom will be lost and everything that America once was and once stood for will also be lost.

In December 2000 after voting himself a pay raise and refusing to sign the Kyoto accord, which could have prevented global warming, Bush and his cohorts voted against criminal penalties for CEOs, tougher corporate regulations, executive accountability, greater auditing safeguards, and stronger protections for employee pensions. As a result an epidemic of corporate fraud and theft soon followed as corporations looted employee pensions and defrauded investors. Soon after Bush deregulated the telecommunications industry America suffered the largest single corporate scandal in history when WorldCom telecommunications company, lied about making $3.85 billion in profits, a debacle which made the accounting irregularities at Enron Corporation look like a rounding error.

On September 11, 2001 the New York, World Trade Towers were cleverly demolished killing 3000 people from America and eighty different countrys. On that same fateful day something punched a clean 12-foot in diameter hole through three of the Pentagon's defensive rings, which consist of six, eighteen-inch thick steel reinforced concrete walls a total of nine feet thick. The Pentagon was designed as a defensive structure to resist attack. The plane's aluminum alloy body disintegrated on the first defensive ring causing extensive damage to the building face, but what punched the clean hole through the nine feet of reinforced concrete and knocked out numerous steel reinforced concrete interior building columns? Military experts agree that only the most robust of missiles are capable of doing such damage to heavy structures. Known as Bunker Busters, they can penetrate up to ten feet of reinforced concrete. Only the Boeing’s engines were big enough and heavy enough to actually penetrate one of the Pentagon's defensive rings, but because of the angle of entry even that is questionable. Assuming that it was an engine that drilled a single clean hole through nine feet of heavily reinforced concrete, one must ask, where is the other hole from the other engine?

This murderous act provided the administration with an excuse to carry out their PNAC agenda of world domination and 'never ending war'. It had all been planed years before the rigged 2000 election and Bush's installation as president. Some of PNAC's founders were; Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Defense Policy Board chairman Richard Perle and Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz- the ideological father of the PNAC gang.

The Blick, largest Swiss newspaper in Zurich, openly suspects the Bush administration for the 9-11 atrocity. "The more we research, the more we doubt the Bush version." The Swiss aren't the only people who suspect Bush. Today over 35% of the American people also believe the Bush administration was complicit in the events of September 11, 2001. "It is conceivable that the Bush government was responsible. Bush has lied so much already! And we already know that the US government planned an operation in 1962 [Operation Northwood] that was approved by the Pentagon, which would have sacrificed innocent US citizens for the government's own interests." The diabolical plan called for Pentagon and CIA paramilitary forces to sink ships, hijack airliners, and bomb buildings within the United States in order to trick the American public into supporting a second invasion of Cuba. Sound familiar?

Of course it was only the beginning of the madness. In 2002 the Bush administration blocked UN efforts to ban the militarization of space, an act which threatens the survival of life on earth. The administration also terminated international negotiations to prevent biological warfare and moved forward with their plan to attack Iraq, despite national and world opposition that was without historical precedent.

To pay for their never ending war and massive tax cuts for the richest 1%, the Bush administration is aggressively raiding the American people's Social Security trust fund, and has borrowed $10 Trillion dollars according to the Congressional Budget Office. New projections indicate that President Bush’s budget policies are driving the country into an unplayable debt. The money is being used to pay for a very lucrative and expensive corporate privatized "never ending war". Companies like Bechtel and Halliburton, Dick Cheney’s employer, have made billions of dollars in profits on the war with no bid contracts. And it seems the more people that die, the more money is made. Researchers from John Hopkins University in Baltimore and the Al Mustansiriya University in Baghdad published a study in 2006, financed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for International Studies, that estimates the illegal Iraq war has led to the deaths of nearly 655,000 men, women, and children. A later study In September 2007 by a top UK polling organization ORB (Opinion Research Business) has estimated that 1.2 million Iraqis have died violently post-invasion, see: http://www.opinion.co.uk/Newsroom_details.aspx?NewsId=78

The neocons have committed numerous war crimes and broken virtually every one of the Geneva Conventions through the use of torture and murder of civilians on a grand scale. They have used banned weapons such as cluster bombs and white phosphorus. They have committed crimes for which there are not yet laws written, crimes against the earth and the environment. The Bush administration has spread over 1000 metric tons of the deadly U238-isotope, America’s nuclear waste, over Iraq and Afghanistan, causing childhood leukemia and spontaneous abortions to become commonplace, dooming the people of both countries to endless suffering and premature death. According to a UN Sub Commission report, cancer in Iraq has increased 1000%, and deformities 600%. Depleted uranium has rendered Iraqi lands infertile, entered the food chain, and contaminated the ground water. With a half-life of 4.5 billion years the Uranium 238 dropped on Iraq and Afghanistan by the Bush administration has rendered much of the two countries permanently unfit for human habitation.

The administration is aware that they are committing numerous war crimes and violations of the Geneva Conventions. Bush had his personal Texas lawyer at the time, Alberto Gonzales, draw up a special memorandum which supposedly absolves his gang of any wrong doing. Gonzales stated, "The nature of the new war places a high premium on other factors, such as the ability to quickly obtain information from captured terrorists and their sponsors in order to avoid further atrocities against American civilians." Gonzales concluded in stark terms: "In my judgment, this new paradigm renders obsolete Geneva's strict limitations on questioning of enemy prisoners and renders quaint some of its provisions."

It isn't the first time that a criminal regime had sought to negate and marginalize the Geneva Conventions. In 1941, General-Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, the head of Hitler's Wehrmacht- Defense force, formulated an identical argument against recognizing the rights of Soviet soldiers under Geneva Convention laws. During his testimony at the Nuremberg trials, Keitel also called the Geneva Convention laws "obsolete", a statement which weighed heavily with U.S. prosecutors who later cited it as an aggravating circumstance in seeking and obtaining the death penalty for Keitel in 1946.

According to the American morality of 1946, a war criminal who remorselessly justified his murderous actions by denigrating the Geneva Conventions deserved to be executed. In the America of 2006, people who denigrate the Geneva Conventions are no longer seen as war criminals, they are promoted. After Alberto Gonzales drew up his bogus torture memorandum he was appointed by Bush to the office of Attorney General.

They attack American workers

Bush began his attacks against American workers soon after entering office by repealing the Clinton administration’s new ergonomics standards, which were designed to protect the health and safety of millions of workers and prevent injuries on the job. Since the repeal of ergonomics standard, more than 500,000 workers have suffered unnecessary injuries at the hands of unregulated profit driven employers.

Bush circumvented Congress through the federal regulatory process, changed the rules of 'The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938', and took the overtime pay away from 8 million financially struggling American workers. The administration has revised the overtime rules to deny the people protection against being worked without pay. "The Bush administration is sacrificing working families on the altar of corporate greed," said NOW President Kim Gandy. "We are witnessing a concerted and interconnected campaign to undermine 65 years of fair labor law and worker protections."

The Bush administration’s disdain for workers and their families has been evident in it’s refusal to extend unemployment benefits to 1 million unemployed workers; in its unwillingness to give millions of minimum wage workers a raise in nine years; in its endorsement of the outsourcing of millions of white collar jobs and its failure to create a safety net for workers hurt by the practice; in its lack of support for policies like paid family and medical leave and after-school programs that working families need.

They attack American Soldiers and their families

George W. Bush who broke the law and went AWOL from Air National Guard duty for approximately one year while avoiding the Vietnam war, now decides the fates of brave men and women who did not go AWOL. Bush has: Rolled back increases in monthly imminent-danger pay (from $225 down to $150) and family-separation allowance (from $250 down to $100) for troops getting shot at in combat zones; Canceled a "modest proposal" to increase the benefit from $6,000 to $12,000 to families of soldiers who die on active duty; Refused to consider military tax relief to help military homeowners, reservists who travel long distances for training, or parents deployed to combat zones; Passed pay raises for higher ranking officers while capping raises for the lowest ranks at 2 percent, well below the average raise of 4.1 percent; Instituted an involuntary recall of troops in Iraq creating a back-door draft; Extended tours of duty; Delayed retirements, and prevented enlisted personnel from leaving the service causing the loss of civilian jobs.

Bush and his Republican congress cut $7 million from the budget of the Brain Injury Center which is devoted to treating and studying war-related brain injuries suffered by American soldiers in the Iraq war. Bush drastically cut financial support for up to 80 percent of the veterans in the nation's 129 state-run homes.

For over a decade, the military has been shifting its supply and support personnel into combat jobs and hiring defense contractors to do the rest. And the process has accelerated drastically under Defense Secretary Rumsfeld. Despite the alleged wonders of private enterprise, those companies have left soldiers in filth, heat, and garbage.

To date over 2,700 soldiers have died in the Bush administration's war for profit and power and well over 50,000 have come home maimed and wounded.

They attack the environment and the planet

George W. Bush's 'Clear Skies Plan' eviscerated laws that had protected America's air, water, public lands, and wildlife for the past thirty years. Big industrial contributors to the Bush gang have taken advantage of the relaxed regulations and released dangerous levels of arsenic and mercury into the air and water, spoiling the lakes and rivers, making fresh water fish toxic.

Bush exhibited an unparalleled contempt for the environment when he attempted to allow commercial logging in Giant Sequoia National Monument. Federal judge Charles R. Breyer ruled that Bush's outrageous plan to allow commercial logging of the ancient forest was illegal, and described Bush's plan as "decidedly incomprehensible."

Even the pentagon, instrument of Bush's destruction, is worried, telling Bush that climate change will destroy us. In a secret report they have warned Bush of ensuing rioting and nuclear war, stating that Britain will be as cold as Siberia in less than 20 years. The Pentagon document predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries use nuclear weapons to defend and secure dwindling food, water, and energy supplies. The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to the reports contents. Even in light of the terrifying future that awaits humanity as a result of unabated global warming, the Bush administration repeatedly denies that climate change even exists, choosing instead to blindly side with the interests of oil companies, lifting controls on auto emissions and slowing the production of electric cars, hydrogen cars, solar power generation, and wind power generation.

Bush has only shown an interest in building dirty and dangerous nuclear power plants, even though more energy is required to produce their nuclear fuel than the plants themselves produce when in operation. His solution for disposing of the deadly spent fuel rods is to make them into depleted uranium weapons, spreading the radiation over the earth and in the atmosphere, threatening the existence of all life on the planet, ironically in the name of freedom and democracy.

Bush has chosen to sacrifice the health and safety of the American people, the quality of their lives, and their environment in the name of lower manufacturing costs and increased profits for his corporate supporters. According to the Natural Resource Defense Council, Bush's policies are doing more damage to environmental protections than any other president in US history.

The total subjugation of every man woman and child

Three massive tax cuts totaling 1.9 trillion dollars for corporations and the top 1 percent of society, the multi millionaire billionaire class, have seriously compromised healthcare, schools, roads, transportation, environmental protection, safety, and many other social services in the U.S.. Without federal funding State budgets have been forced to spend billions of dollars and eliminate thousands of jobs. Republicans have cut an additional $40 billion dollars in federal funding from child support and student loans, as well as imposing new fees on Medicaid recipients and new work restrictions on state welfare. Simultaneously republicans made permanent a $70 billion dollar tax cut enacted by Bush back in 2001 and 2003, which benefits the top 1 percent of society.

Instead of improving the quality of life on earth, the neocons represent a 'new world plantation order'. Their goal is to fully and rapaciously exploit not only the American people, but all of humanity, and the resources of the planet, oblivious to the destruction of the Eco system and the suffering they cause. The corporate ‘right’ has given names to their monstrous greed like, ‘the free market’, 'free trade', and 'privatization'. Bush has been quoted as saying he, “likes Mexico”, and he, “likes the way things are done down there”, a country with tin shack communities, open running sewers, a minimum wage too low to buy food, health care for the richest 5% only, and a privatized Social Security system.

By maintaining an extremely low minimum wage and eliminating the present Social Security system, the Bush administration removes any chance of retirement for 90% of the American people and relegates them to work for poverty wages until they die. In Bush’s brave new ‘survival of the fittest’ world, there will only be great poverty and great wealth, the in-between, the middle class, will be outsourced and eliminated. It will soon be up to every American to "take personal responsibility", for themselves as Bush says, and survive in any way they can.

The neocons and their corporate masters intend nothing less than the total subjugation of every man woman and child in what could only be called a fascist military industrial hell state, similar to the one described by George Orwell in his prophetic novel - '1984'. This gang of corporations and politicians, which have stolen America, see the people as mere cattle to be used, lied to, and exploited, cattle to be fed into an endless meat grinder of wars for power and profit. The neocons envision a dark future of "Never ending war".

America, once a great nation that stood for 'freedom' and 'justice', is being transformed into a nation based on greed, violence, and death. America's young people and hundreds of thousands, or perhaps millions of innocent men women and children around the world will be slaughtered by the neocon gang in their blood soaked quest.

Ultimately the strength of the radical 'right' and their ability to rape the planet and enslave humanity lies in the ignorance of the American people. Only 'we the people' could empower this handful of maniacs who rigged the election process and stole our country. It was we who allowed the neocon gang to wage wars based on lies, and only 'we the people' have the power to stop this madness and take back our government and our country. But we can only do it if the veil of ignorance is lifted. We at thepeoplesvoice.org are working to remove that ignorance.

These are but a fraction of the crimes committed against America and the planet by the Bush administration. It is of paramount importance for the American people to regain control of their government before it is to late for them and the rest of humanity.

It is our firm position that the Holocaust happened

editors @ thepeoplesvoice.org

It is our firm position that the Holocaust happened, and in a BIG way. The Jewish people suffered tremendously at the hands of the cruel Nazis. 'Six million' is a number we can accept. We see no point in discussing whether a more correct number would be 6,5 or 5,5 million. Nor do we see any point in discussing the use of gas chambers vs. other methods of extermination. Finally, we see no point in discussing all of this now. True, the Zionists have gotten a lot of mileage out of all this, but the important thing now is to recognize the suffering of other peoples too, and specifically, to stop the tremendous transgressions vis-à-vis the Palestinian and Iraqi peoples. -The Jewish people seems to have completely forgotten the lessons from their own Holocaust, which is that ALL of humanity is inextricably interwoven in the fragile web of life, that we need each other, that everyone is special in his or her own way, and that we must stand together, as ONE, in this: to cherish and celebrate the sacredness of all life.

Our position on the holocaust is nothing new, we posted this statement on December 11, 2006
