Red lines, timelines, deadlines, sanctions, sabotage, subversion, cyber attacks, assassinations, saber rattling, falsified IAEA hype, ad nauseam warmongering, Netanyahu/Barak bluster, spurious accusations, manipulated to fail P5+1 talks, and inflammatory headlines up the stakes for war.
When America and Israel plan them, they're coming. Pretexts are easy to invent. False flags precipitate them. Expect Washington to use them against Syria and Iran. War weary Americans are manipulated for more of what they want ended.

I guess life really is a vast ocean filled to the brim with challenges, lessons and "opportunity" that each of us -- with our trusty moral and ethical compass in hand -- are forever child navigators trying to find safe passage through the many reefs laid before us.
I don't mean to stand on a soapbox or anything like that, and I do realize I am not "perfect" by any sense of the word -- for sure, I do make my share of mistakes (we all do) -- but, I can honestly say with full confidence, I always try to give it my best and learn from my experiences and move forward in a positive direction that not only enlightens myself, but inspires those around me. As a writer, an activist and a humanitarian at heart who's been widely published in the public domain, I fully understand the importance of being completely honest in what I share with others. Thus, I will always hold true to my beliefs. This includes reporting the unbridled truth no matter road that takes us on. My mother was such a rare gem. She used to tell me she had a special love for me because she knew in her heart that I am a loving and giving person. To me, this is the greatest compliment one can ever receive.

On Wednesday evening, Democrat convention delegates took three voice votes calling Jerusalem Israel's capital. Each time, nays sounded louder than yeas.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa chaired the convention. Despite boos and no votes more audible than yes ones, he declared rewriting platform language policy.
Doing so violates international law and justice. Obama caved to AIPAC and other Israeli Lobby organizations. Pandering to Lobby pressure and Israeli lawlessness is policy. Palestinians don't matter so ignore them. Spurning international law is OK.

As a former law professor President Obama knows something about international law and US constitutional law which he taught at the University of Chicago. But he besmirched his academic bona fides, violated Democratic Party rules and hurt his campaign on 12/5/12 by ordering the Democratic Party to summarily change earlier a twice debated and unanimously adopted plank of the Democratic Platform on the subject of the status of Jerusalem.
The reason this observer even took the time to read the 26,56l word, 37 page 2012 Democratic Party Platform which guides every Democratic candidate for both Houses of Congress and the party’s Presidential candidate, and to a lesser degree, thousands of Democratic Party candidates across the USA is, well, nostalgia.
