Members of the corporate political duopoly switched seats and sat next to each other making it even harder to tell the corporate welfare party from the crony capitalist party. Sadly, the spokespersons for both failed to learn the lessons of history and as a result the American economy will continue to falter with U.S. militarism continuing to expand.
Listening to the saccharin rhetoric of President Obama one would think the nation’s economy was flourishing and the military was winning wars. The truth, that the economy is still in collapse and the military is stuck in war quagmires all piling up record debt, was hard to see through his veil of words.

Like last year, Obama's address was empty rhetoric, signaling business as usual with a twist - more than ever embracing reactionary extremism, promising harder than ever hard times on Main Street.
Last year, an earlier article discussed his first State of the Union address, accessed through the following link:
Results again this time were predicable. Democrats loved it. Time magazine called the Republican response "frosty," saying "Stand-up comics call it a tough crowd."

An August 2009 Council on Foreign Relations Steven Cook report headlined, "Political Instability in Egypt," saying:
Facing possible instability, (m)ost analysts believe that the current Egyptian regime will muddle through its myriad challenges and endure indefinitely (with) enough coercive power to ensure" it.
It's also "entering a period of political transition. President Hosni Mubarak is (81) and reportedly" ill. His (46 year old) son Gamal "is evidently being groomed to succeed him." However, the "process could prove difficult."
I have a rule -- I never intervene in Palestinian political matters. I never comment on Palestinian internal debate. I do not think that I have the right to do so : I am an ex-Israeli and an ex-Jew, and I write about Israel, Jewish Identity politics, and Zionism.
For me, the leaked Palestinian Papers provide us with a valuable glimpse into Israeli politics and Western complicity in the crimes carried out against the Palestinian people. I do realise that most Palestinian commentators agree that the leaked papers have “damaged whatever little credibility the Ramallah-based authority still enjoyed among Palestinians” ; yet, more than anything else, the Papers prove beyond doubt that Israel is not a partner for peace -- In spite of the weaknesses that have been shown by the PA since the 1990’s, Israel has failed to secure a peace deal, and has consistently failed to show any will to bring the conflict to an end. In short -- Israel has always wanted more.
FAQ: Why are you attacking me for my way of life?
MZ: That’s easy: Our way of life is really a "way of death" and is directly responsible for the current global crises I write about. We also might want to agree to save the word "attack" for, say, those living under the US taxpayer-funded predator drones, cruise missiles, and depleted uranium shells. Let's save it for countless victims of child abuse. Let's save "attack" to describe the reality of one rape every 46 seconds in America. Okay?
Philadelphia, PA. January 2011............... Reaching the zenith at number one slurs is lifetime media correspondent Helen Thomas who mistakenly associated the metaphor to a select exclusive special interest group."Helen Thomas' school scraps award over 'Zionists' remark" Article by CNN.
US Constitution Articles Bill of Rights Protects 'We the People' From The Government
Protection withdrawn denying all citizenry the privileges of the US Constitution by revoking Free Speech viewpoints! The government perpetrates a blatant assault and attack of reverse Hate Speech directed to targeted persons, while conversely invoking First Amendment privilege rights of Free Speech to a 'select exclusive special interest group' only.
