Refusing to take a needed stand for single pay health reform ~ President Obama is facing the tough political reality that there is no change without determined action and, according to Onion News, it's beginning to take its toll on his health:

Have you noticed recently that President Obama seems to be aging rapidly under the pressures of a badly slumping economy ( that he inherited from the Bush Administration), a top down economic stimulus plan that is leaving Main Street high and dry and a health Care Reform package that does not include what over 70% of Americans want ~ Single pay health care.

Of course, all Presidents age in the pressure cooker of the Oval Office but Obama came into office on the gale force winds of change ~ with a Democratic majority and a mandate for determined action .

Obama is now beginning to realize that change won't happen until he stops trying to keep everyone happy and that he can't successfully answer to two masters ~ Big corporate Wall Street donors and the increasingly restless American voters who want action on these promises.

As David Michael Green writes yesterday in ( ICH )" Both President Obama’s health care plan and his presidency are going down the toilet...if he would just lead, maybe we would follow ! " http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article23290.htm

And now we have Obama's outrageous statement at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Conference in reference to the current military buildup in Afghanistan; "Those who attacked America on 9/11 are plotting to do so again. If left unchecked, the Taliban insurgency will mean an even larger safe haven from which Al Qaeda would plot to kill more Americans." This is right out of the Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice blatant Iraq fear mongering playbook ~ which now causes me to question how anyone can take Obama seriously.

All of this, of course, must be taking a toll on Obama's health, along with his continued smoking ~ but now my favorite satirical dispatch The Onion News Network provides the possible answer ~ as well as an irreverent step forward ~ by announcing yesterday that " White House officials have admitted that Obama's extreme confidence and total euphoria over 'hope' and 'change' were symptoms of a prolonged Bipolar manic episode ~ as well as his current depressive phase "
