On Thursday, April 29, 2010, a “Teach-In on Capitol Hill,” was held in Room 2168 of the Rayburn Building, in D.C., dealing with the question of what the U.S. Congress must do to end the U.S. Wars and secure a peaceful Middle East. David Swanson, the author of “Daybreak: Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union,” was one of the five panelists. During the Q&A, he was asked a question about the need for accountability for public officials who are suspected of breaking the laws and sanctioning torture, rendition and other unlawful acts.
