South Korea Rejects Trump’s $1 Billion Bill for THAAD Missile Shield

South Korea said it won't pay for the deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system in the country after US President Trump said in an interview with Reuters he would like to get $1 billion from Seoul for protecting it from Pyongyang's possible attacks. South Korea’s Defense Ministry said Friday the United States should pay the costs of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system.
