US condemns Israeli expansion

The US vice-president has condemned Israel's move to build 1,600 new housing units in occupied East Jerusalem. Joe Biden had earlier on Tuesday emphasised the close relationship between the US and Israel after meeting Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel's prime minister, in Jerusalem.
