'Israel: Water reserves may be drained by 2010'

If this winter is as lacking in rainfall as the last one, then by next summer Israel will have to take drastic steps such as importing water and setting up portable desalination plants, officials believe. Even if the winter is a rainy one, there will still be a serious crisis, according to the Water Authority's prognosis for the coming year. What they're after is the Litani River itself and the Bekaa Valley. Both will they take by force. They will divert the Litani, fill up Lake Tiberias and the Jordan River all the way through the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea. This dwindling salt water system they will replenish with water from the Red Sea. Their ill-gotten land will stretch from the Nile in the West to the Euphrates in the East. The Kingdom of Jordan will be forced to cede land --all of the Jordan Valley will be taken from this fated kingdom. War with Lebanon and Syria is inevitable.
