The Israeli Air Force (IAF) says the accuracy of its attacks in the Gaza war -- where more than a thousand civilians were killed -- was at 99 percent. WHICH would indicate that these people were killed INTENTIONALLY. Expressing satisfaction with Operation Cast Lead, the IAF revealed on Monday that almost all of the bombs and missile used by warplanes hit their designated targets. The three-week-long war in the Gaza Strip, launched on December 27, claimed the lives of at least 1,350 Palestinians including women and children. THIS is the kind of laudable "accuracy" we're talking about... Another suspected US missile attacks has left at least six people dead and several others injured in Pakistan's troubled northwest. The unmanned US drone fired several missiles in Makeen area of South Waziristan tribal agency on Wednesday, a Press TV correspondent reported. Death toll may rise further as some of injured are said to be in critical condition. The tribal regions along the shared border between Pakistan and Afghanistan have become a usual target of suspected US drone attacks, which are in some cases acknowledged by Washington.

Russia considers deploying submarines armed with nuclear-capable cruise missiles in a bid to protect grab resources in the disputed Arctic region. Submarines from Russia's Northern Fleet could be involved in efforts to stake Russia's claim to the polar region, Vice Admiral Oleg Burtsev, deputy head of the Navy General Staff, told RIA Novosti Monday.

Darius Rejali, the world expert on torture techniques and author of Torture and Democracy, describes the origins of the CIA’s torture techniques as described in the recently leaked ICRC report. Not surprisingly, these techniques have mostly been in long use in the United States. Tuesday marks the 10th anniversary of the beginning of the three-month NATO bombing campaign of the former Yugoslavia - and a decade later, the wounds of the war are still felt. Throughout the areas which have been affected by NATO bombings, hundreds of people are dying of cancer. Experts say that this may be a result of uranium shells being used. Shortly after 9pm on Tuesday the 24th of March 2009, seven police officers in Dresden and four in Jena searched the homes of Theodor Reppe, who holds the domain registration for "wikileaks.de", the German name for wikileaks.org. According to police documentation, the reason for the search was "distribution of pornographic material" and "discovery of evidence". Police claim the raid was initiated due to Mr. Reppe's position as the Wikileaks.de domain owner.
